Eye Yi Yi

Will not post regarding any possible progress or hope, we always get slammed the next day.  Rather than two steps forward, one step back.... her situation is always one step forward, four steps back.   And every day I am grateful for your prayers and well wishes for her.

Nitzy (Bud's son) had a terrible eye issue years ago when we could not get close.  That eye is quite cloudy.  When we finally snatched him and had him checked by a mobile vet, we were given a tube of Neo Polycin HC, now years old and a tiny amount remaining.  Just like getting an appt when you're in dire need, no difference for our pets.  The mobile that gave Bud peace, always replies quickly, could not come, even checked clinics and others for us.  Nothing.  My vet never answered the early morning call until late afternoon to inform me he is on vacation, can't fill an RX.  We had Nit trapped all day waiting, but this is routine with that office.  My brother tried with his vet, only to find out that their 12 hour day of appts was cancelled because of illness, will not open until Tuesday.  So Nit's other eye (this developed very quickly) has been getting some of the old ointment, slight improvement, but the cloudiness is not leaving.  Looks like two eyes will be damaged.  But hopefully we will get somewhere Tuesday.  I have to meet with Carole's doctor mid day.

And another eye, this time eye-let.  For some unknown and unnecessary reason, I am always looking back at the chart photo of the piece, many times it's the original.  I noticed this faint band, thought I would add it.
It may have been rice, eyelet, or a hell of a linen slub, I decided to try eyelet.  Should it stay or should it go?
There is another band higher in the sampler so I think it's a good fit.

Those flowers in the last post are not all mine, half are for Carole that I get every year.  Same with the ferns.  That clothesline pole in bright silver aluminum, is what I would spray black to blend in.  And yes, that deck will be removed along with the stamped concrete for the sewer project.

Carole is having a difficult time keeping personal items within reach so I bought these magnetic hooks for the tray table support leg and a bunch of the little craft bags to hang so she can have easy access.  I am so fricking clever.

Sweat pants, jackets, and running furnace.  Nice.

Have a enjoyable weekend.

Oh my, oh my it never ends does it. You have been dealing with far worse than we have, but nothing has been going our way either. Hugs and prayers for you and your family and furry friends. P.S.: I like the eyelit band.

Awww...poor Nitzy. I hope the delay from the "professionals" don't contribute to any permanent damage. And, yes, you are one clever lady...and you never cease to impress me. I do like the band...a lot. It belongs. Keeping you in thought and prayer... It seems there are many of us struggling now. 😢 ~r~

Sorry to hear about Nitzy`s eye problems...unfortunately you can relate! The eyelet band you`re stitching looks really good as far as placement and color and the entire piece is coming together in a beautiful way! Had to chuckle when I read you were wearing sweat pants and jackets recently because our high temperature here in the upper peninsula of Michigan two days ago was 39 degrees with a cold north wind to boot. We were wearing winter coats, hats and mittens! Still praying for you, Carole, and Mark and wishing you a nice weekend.

Continued prayers for everyone concerned, you, Carole, Mark and Nitzy. Darned those Vets. I hope you will be able to get some help for him by Tues.
Love your stitching ! Haven't been doing any lately.
I've been wearing sweats, sweaters plus sweat shirt over, socks and shoes too. AC on. Going to have to put my foot down.
I do not like cloudy, rainy, cold, damp miserable days. They really get me down.
The ferns are gorgeous..........so sorry about your deck and everything else that will be torn up. Sad !
I'm not in the shape I was last year, so the yard is not getting the attention that it was. Son does cut the grass.......so much else needs attention.
Thinking of you !
Hugs,
Charlotte in Va.

Even though it says not to, you can treat the eye with Neosporin or its' generic. I spent a lot of my childhood with Neosporin applied to my eyes at bedtime.

You always take such good care of Carole...and your furbabies. You are a godsend.
Even if only half the plants are yours, that's still a lot of plants. I found 2 little 4" pots of the Bubblegum petunias that you tell us about every year. They are doing great in my baby bathtub! Thanks.

Those ferns are beautiful. Seems a shame that deck needs removing. Sorry about Nitzy's eye problem. Poor little guy, I can think of nothing worse than an eye issue. Hoping he can be seen by a vet soon. Yes, very clever buying those metal hooks and the little bags for Carole's personal items. I bought a box of hooks that were supposed to stick to any surface. Any surface. They stick to nothing. Well unless you count the floor, cause that's where they always end up after falling off the surface they're supposed to be sticking to. So guess where they are now? Yup, in the trash where they belong. Praying for Carole still. And now Nitzy.

I wish the roller coaster you're on with Carole weren't such a wild ride. Why is it that kids and critters seem to always need medical attention late at night or weekends (especially holiday weekends)? Hope Nit's eye can get treated Tuesday.

I have no idea what the stitches are on the original, but I like your eyelet addition. Those are gorgeous ferns and it stinks your deck and other things will be ripped out for sewer work. I'm trying to think of any silver lining to come of that, and drawing a blank. (((hugs)))
