is a good thing to have. But a positive test is not. I was very surprised that they called at 8:30pm, slightly more than 24 hours since my test. They told me at the hospital results would not be available until Tuesday. Two negatives with the swab in the car, this one absolute positive and wanted to call me right away. I had a miserable night, high fever for the second time. I had a fever days ago, next day felt fine without symptoms, nothing noted at the ER visit, and then the fever again. The covid icu nurse told me this virus is so unpredictable, but she found that when it finds a host it likes, it will present and then retreat to gain strength. And then it will knock you on your ass up to two weeks later. But not always. I asked her if it likes crabass bitches as hosts, she said that's like family to it.
Would love this one but not charted by anyone as far as I could tell, Sarah Shepherd 1851. Is it? I need to shift my distraction and focus on something enjoyable. I know stress makes it all worse. Well, hell!! Haven't had any of that in the last nine months! But I will get through this.

Oh so sorry to hear this news. Sleep sleep sleep! I hope you are well soon.
Congratulations on finally contracting the covid virus but sorry it’s timing was not better. Now you will have God given true antibodies and not have to risk the effects of that dangerous jab. Especially important since you are immunocompromised. Nobel Laureate virologist Luc Montagnier continues to claim that the jab is what is causing the variants. The mNSA creator, virologist and immunologist Robert Malone, is also warning about the toxicity of spike proteins in the jab. Had the government not gone straight to using an untested experimental injection and allowed nature to take its course while permitting doctors to prescribe the proven safe drugs already available for symptoms, there would have been way less deaths and hospitalizations. Instead they destroyed our economy and continue to take away our freedoms.
Sorry no good news for you. Sending positive thought for Carole’s surgery. Ms Peppercorn spreading misinformation will not help anyone. I totally agree shopping for patterns will help, be strong.
Such dreadful news, Marly! I know this news must also be devastating to Carole. Try to boost your immune system with L-Lysine pills. My beloved RA doctor of 25 years has had me take them for years. Usual dose is 1000 mg/day, but since I'm immunocompromised, I take 4000 mg/day. They do seem to help! I haven't had a cold or flu in years. Seasonal allergies, well, that's another issue. I agree with Mary V, Yes, Ms. Peppercorn IS spreading false info. Please disregard everything in her post. I just got my Pfizer booster shot with no side effects other than a slightly sore arm & extreme tiredness. I'll get the flu shot sometime this week. Praying you kick CoVid to the curb, & fast! But Mike's brother had it in May 2020 for two months & his wife had it in Dec. 2020 for 6 weeks, so I'm also hoping & praying you won't be a Long Hauler. I'm also praying for a good outcome with Carole's surgery. There are free apps where you can submit a good photograph of what you want to stitch & it will create a cross stitch pattern for you. So it IS possible for you to create & stitch that 1825 sampler you so crave!
Well, rats! I am so sorry you are so sick. This virus, its path, and its variants are unknowns. Unknown. In spite of cited studies, none are definitive, none are yet confirmed, thus the confusion and false conclusion. Treating your symptoms, being vigilant for complications is still the most reasonable strategy. The jab is not likely causing the variants. Until long-term studies confirm this, it is another unverified conjecture. They appear to originate in different cultures (all of whom have different levels of sanitation and the lack of diagnosis and treatment that we have, in spite of the flaws )A different climate also seems to enhance the spread. So, I am sure, someday we will be more knowledgeable. Years and cross-section double-blind studies will be required. In the meantime take great care, do not let yourself get tired, you are a more friendly host at that time.
Of course, stitching and shopping are great therapeutic alternatives.
Prayers that you have a mild case and feel better soon.
So Mark will be post Covid long enough and can be there for Carole's surgery?
Hugs to you!!!
Sorry to hear this bad news for you Marly.
Sending healing prayers and hope you feel better soon.
Is Mark allowed to go to Carole for her surgery-- I do hope so.
Big hugs, take care and buy a lot of patterns to feel better,Truus from Holland
It seems that this surgery of Carole's has been fraught with obstacles...perhaps that means the surgery, itself will be a breeze. (Well, I know it won't be a "breeze" given the surgery, but I mean hiccup-free.) I am sorry you have been diagnosed with COVID...I suppose it is better that this happened now than you being there for the surgery and finding out a day later you have it and have exposed Carole. In any event, praying for a speedy recovery...and hope you do feel well enough to spend your recovery time stitching and shopping. ~Robin~
Marly, I’ve been stewing on this all day and finally need to say it! Shame on the person above who not only spread misinformation but congratulated you for testing positive. Most of us are doing everything we can to keep from getting it and spreading it to others.
I genuinely hope that you’re doing okay and it’s not getting worse. And praying that you have a full recovery. Also, hoping all goes according to the plan with Carole’s surgery. I can’t imagine how hard this is for all of you. Please take care of yourself and know that you have lots of us hoping for the best for you. Cherie in WI
I don't know, for the life of me, why you and your family has had such bad luck. You certainly don't deserve it ! ! ! ! !
God bless you and give you strength to get through ALL of this.
Thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery for you, successful surgery for Carole and then a life without stress and unpleasant occurrences.
I'll always remember how good you were to me !
Love, hugs and prayers,
Charlotte in Va.
Please take care of yourself. Candles lit and prayers going up.
You and yours are daily in my heart and prayers, Marly. Perhaps we can convince you to
now sit back and heal... let time and rest do their work. Bless Mark for his attention
to Carole and bless her throughout and after the procedure. You know the type of needlework that gives you the greatest and perhaps most easeful satisfaction. Prepare to
occupy yourself with something like that and take it all one step at a time. Above all,
despite the lopsidedness of our world these days, we have each other to encourage and
support and that is the best gift to be treasured. Just remember how much you are loved
and appreciated, Marly dear. Get well and flourish.
Oh, Marly, I hope and pray that your case is mild... I think the best thing you can do is rest at this point and don't push yourself. Carole will be in wonderful hands with Mark and Chris. I'm so sorry your family can't seem to catch a break; I just shake my head sometimes and wonder how the nicest people have such sad things happen to them. (My daughter-in-law seems to be one of those people, too, and I feel so bad that I can't do more to help). Anyway, you will be in my prayers along with Carole as the surgery draws near. Sending love and positive thoughts your way ♥
Oh Marly, I hate to hear you got a positive but I’m extremely grateful you found out before being at the hospital with Carole. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers for peace, comfort and healing. Stitching soothes the soul and is the best medicine I know of to get me through the hard days. Please be kind to yourself and listen to your body so you can heal quickly.
