Seriously. $7

Waiting for the white minis to fade so I can move the monster mum and sweet potato vines.  Good weather all week, no frost, so I may have to move them to the back.  The vines were yanked out of the barrels weeks ago and surprisingly, are dense with new growth after being limp and scrawny from the yank.  I really like this plant against the fall mums so I'm glad both plants have revived.

Also glad that back when we had flea markets, I purchased aluminum pots for a few bucks.  The bail handles and pot will never rust but the handle mounts do.  After drilling drainage holes, perfect planters.  My galvanized buckets and pots are all rusting and will stain concrete and deck.  I glued plastic chair glides to the rusty bottoms so they are elevated.

This is the bronze color, my smaller orange and yellow are on the back deck.  Anxious for these to open, I don't think I had this color before.

Carole's birthday is Friday and I wanted a party for her in the facility's celebration room.  It's off that very long gorgeous windowed hall and across from the expansive outdoor area, but we can't even visit now.  I had already purchased a pale pink luxurious throw and Amazon offered floral pillow cases of pink roses, so we will leave gifts in the foyer after disinfecting.

Mark's doctor is handling our care since I don't have a doctor at this time, and we will know this afternoon about the monoclonal treatment.  As of last night, my symptoms started.

Have a good one folks.

You are the most loving sister and Carole's gifts sound lovely, Marly! I'm sorry your wished for family party can't take place at this time. I sure hope your symptoms stay in check and that both you and Mark receive excellent care and advice from the doctor. Do take care of yourself--sending a gentle hug and positive thoughts and prayers up I-79 ♥

I am so sorry all this is happening! Timing is not good, for sure. But I am certain there is never a good time to be ill. Your Mums are stunning, it is a good year for them but I must say, nearer the city the prices are surely not that good. I have multicolor baskets this year, not sure I like them as much but they are staying. Hope to get some photo's on the blog soon. Take care, I am also sending hugs and prayers up I-79, best wishes.

Oh no...Hope you recover quickly.... But...Sooo... What does this mean as regards Carole's surgery?? You won't be able to be there for her? Your mums are looking good... I think I had one of those last year...it was a bit surprising when it actually opened. ;-) (I won't spoil it for you...) I know I got interrupted while trying to comment (and now can't go back to your post without losing what I have typed here....but what was $7??? The aluminum pots or did I miss something??) And, yes...I'll go back after I publish this and re-read.... ~Robin~

Oh good God I sure hope you and Mark present with only the mildest of symptoms. Prayers for you both. I sure wish I knew about those aluminum pots being good planters before I donated mine to goodwill. Stay well!

Marly can you private message me Caroles address? I would like to send her a birthday card and maybe an occasional card of encouragement. These are tough times for so many people and a little smile in the mail can help immensely. Praying for you and Mark!!
