More light than darkness

Still shadows and moments of dark, but glimpses of light are increasing.  I'm fortunate.  Too many we know of vaxed and not, hospitalized for weeks.

All I did was change pillowcases and barely made it to the chair before my knees buckled.  Wow.  But my voice is now strong enough for a short conversation and that prompted (so far today), eight calls from a certain sister about issues she needs taken care of.  Not now girl.  Not now.

Thank you everyone for your concern.  We'll never know how much worse it may have been without receiving the monoclonal antibodies.

Nice to know you're on the upside - take it easy and take care.

Glad you're seeing a bit of light at the end of the tunnel... It's unfortunate that there has to be such a struggle to get the monoclonal antibodies and other therapeutics. But, Girl...you have way more patience than I ever would with that certain sister. Bless you and your loving, patient, heart my friend. ~Robin~

Marly, the focus is on you. Carol is being cared for. Good vibes to you all!

One can appreciate what Carole has been through, but it is now your time to rest and
recover...and to really share time with Mark....Continued prayers.

So glad to hear you are seeing the light. Should be a thankful Thanksgiving!

Does Carole know you've been sick? If not, then you need to tell her that you've been very sick, need some rest, and the hospital staff will answer all her questions while you take care of you for a change.

Prayers still be said for you and Carole.
Keep looking for that light at the end of the tunnel.
So glad you're feeling somewhat better and are able to talk to your sister.
She just needs to "hold her horses" until you're able to do for her.
I know she is getting the best of care, now you need to take care of Marly.
Thinking of you !

Ditto what Heritage Hall, CathyJ, and CM Designs said! Carole's just going to have to wait with her requests, or others* will have to step up their efforts for her. Maybe let some of her calls go to voice mail? I'm pretty sure if something is truly urgent, the facility staff would let you know.

* = NOT Mark - you need all his attention right now!

I'm so glad you are making progress, even though it is slow. Baby steps and all that. I hope your progress continues. And best to Mark as well.

Well, that old saying, "When it rains, it pours," seems applicable to your situation; though it might be more appropriate to say, "When it rains, it may also flood!" You have certainly been though some trying times! So happy to learn that you are somewhat better, but, obviously, you have a ways to go. Please give yourself time to heal so that you do not have any type of relapse. As others have stated, your sister will be receive care at her facility. She is so fortunate that you finally found a spot that has her best interests in store. Now, it is time for you to put yourself first. It's hard to continually take care of others if you haven't taken care of yourself. Best wishes to you and may your return to health be quick rather than slow. (P.S.--you've been such an inspiration to me with your blog!) Most sincerely, PatT from Delaware
