The Putz is puttering

Between Carole's calls, I started getting the rooms cleared of clutter, dust, cat hair, and a few things that I don't recognize.  I'm sure I will remember what they are for as soon as I need them and can't recall where I stashed them.  Mark was so busy taking care of me and I had let things go in the household department for quite a while before that, so it's nice to finally feel strong enough to make a dent in the mess.

I had two trees picked out (pre-lit) but fairy lights don't sound bright enough, and micro (?) I am not familiar with either.  Cannot believe prices of smaller artificial trees and I will pass on that purchase this year.  We did find two fridge models that are close to counter depth but the cabinet would have to go.  We also learned that no one locally knows how to replace a compressor, and no one is learning appliance repairs.  The salesman told us a compressor would cost around $600, we should just purchase new.  The new is $1000 more than the repair, but that is the thinking in today's disposable times.  I don't like either fridge, fingers crossed ours can be repaired.  No return calls about the garage door, maybe Monday.

Carole's, mine, Mark's phones are all 3G and need to be replaced by year end.  I really have no idea what to get, where to go, and I am not looking forward to more time being spent on choices and decisions.  I like my little $5 phone but it has to go.

Have a pleasant Sunday!

Tomorrow is Sunday, right?

Glad to hear that you are feeling well enough to "putz" around! Sounds as if you have turned a corner. I love your colonial style and your home looks beautiful.

Your desk? looks so relaxing, a room uncluttered (not like mine) is a goal. I am in the process of sorting things, gifting some items, you know. Some things have memories attached, those will stay for now.

So glad you are able to move around, do a few things. I call that puttering, or as popular in Pa. "rhedding up!"

You sure do have a gift for putting things together so they are incredibly pleasing to the eye. I'm coveting that table.... As for the cleaning/clearing, I'll be dm'ing you my addy as soon as I am done here...you best plan on staying for a few...umm....many...months. ~Robin~

Can you tell me what you did to the tree on December 20th 2020.
Your home looks like a positively beautiful place to live.
We bought a new fridge it was not cheap, good luck I hope you find the perfect one for your home.
Mark sounds like a gem you are lucky.
It sounds like you are feeling a little better, I hope you find the perfect phone.

We had to replace my mother-in-law's phone because of the 3G thing too. We use Verizon and they had a couple phones for free because we were replacing the 3G phone. One was a flip phone and one was a smart phone. We chose the flip phone since she doesn't do anything except make calls in case of an emergency. Good luck finding a phone.
