OK. OK. You're going to think my rocker lost a rail. I hate to be selfish, but I've spent so much on the mandated sewer system and yard repair, Carole's transports, all her necessities, over 200 books in ten months, personal items, her upcoming dental extractions and bridgework, and I want a few things for myself. I am so grateful for the anonymous gift, and I've sold a few pieces of non-favorite linen to purchase a few favorites. Well, it was like having only one piece of chocolate. I need more. I spotted this magnificent sampler and had to have it, and the linen for it. So ..... I went through the few old 14K jewelry pieces, broken or missing a piece, and SOLD them at a gold exchange. Yeehaw!
Can you blame me? The lions, the ladies, the birds, the checkered ?gate?. Amazing chart, over 20 heavy glossy paper pages with very large colored chart, a photo of Kezia's dwelling and story. The border is done over one so to accommodate crabs like me, they also converted that border to over two. Turn the book upside down for that graph. It's from Sassy Jack's, Sassafras Samplers. I got Paperbark linen but the Hemingway may work better.
Now here's the kicker. Yes I suffer from color phobia, but also asymmetrical affliction. I didn't even pull threads yet and I already changed the chart in Paint.
Tuesday Tuesday.
Can trust it either.

Heck no, those things were sitting in a drawer not being used or unable to be used. Yes, you deserve it and more. Keziah would be thrilled you are thrifty and tweaked her chart. It is a cool one! Jen
Good for you ! ! ! ! ! It's about time that you're treating yourself.
This chart is WOW........like the fuller skirts. Looking forward to you getting it started, worked on and finished.
Have fun !

It sounds like a fair trade to me. At least your broken & missing parts jewelry was 14k and still worth something. Mine is all costume jewelry. I knew you'd been hit by a lot of expenses in the last year. For most of them to be not to your own benefit (except the dental work), yes you do need something to bring a bit of happy to your corner. Cool that they did the border both over 1 and over 2 options. I like it with the full skirts.
I can see why you had to have that. It is an amazing piece. And something you can just enjoy instead of something you need to, have to, are obliged to. What a concept!
I like your version better, too. The full skirts are just more pleasing to the eye.
YIKES - LOVE this one.....I promised myself I wouldn't order anymore BUT I "need" this one
Marly. It's your fault
Have a great great day
Marly: This is an amazing design, I hope to see you start it soon.

I like your change to the skirt! It looks so much better. You go girl!
Where do you find these things?? (Amazingly irresistible charts, not broken jewelry...I know where to find that.) And why do you tempt me so???? Dang, dang, DANG! I love everything about this except the chopped off skirts of the original... It scares me that I noticed them....you may be rubbing off on me even from afar. I even the name Kezia. Good thing I am no longer of child bearing age. ~Robin~
That is one gorgeous design!! I do love the full skirts!
I like the fuller skirts also. The needle worker perhaps, only had so much fabric. And we know a good border can drive shoppers mad with desire! Right? Would have to make sure to balance the columns. The second photo has the column on the right not complete at the top. I believe the checked stitching part is actually part of the garden that would lead into a temple. Something like a portico without the roof. During that period as you know it was common to have painted floor cloths or floors (is done today also) in a checkerboard pattern. Many temples and grand homes would have a paved pattern hardscape, driveway if you will, leading to the temple or home. Beautiful design and now on my radar.
