With the prices and selection this year, I am glad we bought the petunias. No sense searching for anything else and that bubblegum pink with lime green vines looks great against the dark house. But the front door gets only a few hours of sun and they will not do well there. So what did I find today that is the same pink and tolerates part shade?

Gorgeous color combination! I didn't get any flowers on the supply run Tuesday. I hope there's still some left surviving after the very hot/humid days this week. Also a sale started on garden plants, so pickings might be slim by next week.
Beautiful, Marly. It’s suddenly in the 90’s in WI, except where I live on the cool, cool shore of Lake Michigan where we had 50’s today!! I made a little run to the greenhouse on Monday, before things are sold out, but forgot to look for the bubblegum petunias. Rats! I hope I can find some when I get there again!
I sincerely hope you don’t have to get a part time job just so you’re not available 24/7. Although there were times when wished I had a job while my mom was here. Only because my siblings thought I had nothing else to do!! Carole is in such a beautiful facility and is taken care of around the clock. It’s best she stays there.

Lovely combination. I see your tub of petunias on Pinterest a lot. So pretty.
I cut the grass in our back yard yesterday. First time in several years. Son is having trouble with his legs (diabetes).....large blisters. He is seeing a nurse practitioner today. Don't know if I can handle the front yard......maybe our neighbor will come over with his riding mower.......I hope !
Rain for a few days then hot weather this weekend. Humid too. UGH !

Tres beautiful. I have been having a love affair with lime green anything for the past several years. They just command the eye to look at them. So far, though, I've not even thought about plants. My back has decided now would be a good time to protest and go on strike. I haven't even been able to lean up the mess from last year. And then I was "blessed" with an entire week of Friday the 13ths.... Gah!!! Why me???? ~Robin~
