Final mention

This is breaking our hearts almost as much as Nitzy's suffering.

We only allow her outside once a day for a short time and she goes directly to their graves, lies in the shelter next to them that they all loved in the summer, and then stares.  She will come in and cry and cry and cry, allowing us to touch/brush her for the first time in a decade.  Well, some blood is involved but not as much as before.

Last time - I'm still getting emails about the charges and why we did not go forward, and I will explain once more.  In PA, you can file charges if a dog enters your own property killing/attacking your domestic animal of any kind.  But.  Since these attacks were toward animals, even though horrific, courts usually feel they are not a danger to people.  Completely different case if a person was harmed. This is what officials were trying to explain to us about the process.  Both dogs were kicked and hit to stop them but did not retaliate or attack.  The requirements to house a dangerous dog may not even prevent these two from escaping again, and we do not trust this man to keep them muzzled.  They had two other dogs for a brief period, not cared for, and took them to the shelter.  I can't sleep thinking about this and have nightmares of what they may do.  My only hope is that someone will shoot them and they are not in a fight club.  I hope this explains it, no more questions please.

Rain and storms tonight, working on the sampler and enjoying it.  Both appointments went well.  If Mark doesn't respond to treatment, an MRI will be ordered.   I cancelled my HeartFlow test for now, I do not believe my blockage requires a stent, no symptoms, but will have it rescheduled before July.

Be safe everyone.

Marly, Mark and Missy it breaks our hearts too. Here is a quote from Charles Dickens:
"And can it be that in a world so full and busy, the loss of one weak creature makes a void in ANY heart, so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of eternity can fill it up".

Poor Missy. Her whole family is gone but thank goodness she has you and Mark for support. These little beings do have complex emotional lives. Time will heal her with your help. Hugs, Mary

What sad pictures. The whole thing is heartbreaking. I'm still sad about Bud and Petey. I felt so bad for Nitzy with his father gone and now his poor mommy grieves for all of them. It's not fair. :-(

It's amazing she knows where they all are. It's sad, but she must grieve. She'll be okay though. Those crosses are beautiful.

My heart breaks for you, Mark and Missy. It is truly amazing what animals know and feel. The crosses are a beautiful remembrance of the love you gave your kitties and the pleasure they gave you. So happy Missy is letting you pet her......hope there won't be too much blood shed. Praying for her safety.
Am happy you are enjoying the new stitching piece. Wishes for many happy hours, stitching in your swing, when the weather gets warmer.
Have been pulling weeds, sewing zinnia seeds, trying to start more boxwood plants from cuttings, transplanting coral bell plants and sedum, feeding the birds and not wanting to be in the house.
Praying for our country and Ukraine..........
Take care ! Thinking of you.

Such a heartbreaking post.
Did the owner of the dogs apologize to you?

A horrific situation to say the least. Can't imagine how beyond difficult it is to loose a member of your fur family in such a manner. My heart goes out to you and hope that one day the good memories of your beloved fur babies come before the horrible ones. It goes without saying that some people shouldn't be intrusted to raise animals or children for that matter. Disgraceful! Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Poor Missy, missing her family. Those who say animals have no emotions are soooo wrong.
I'm glad the appointments went well, but am a bit concerned that you postponed your test. But it's understandable with all going on, hope Mark's knee responds to treatment.

Oh my, poor Missy who is missing Nitzy so deeply, but happy to hear that she will let you near her to pet.
Our pets have feelings too and have their greve as well as we do.
Do hope that the treatment is going to help Mark and please take care of yourself too Marly.
Stay save with the storm and enjoy your stitching. Did you turn it upside down?
Sending prayers and lots of love, Truus from Holland
