I don't know if the month will get better, but it's off to a rotten start.
I was getting within five feet of the little one, talking to him, feeding him (he ate SO much), sat on the deck until he wiggled into the shelter every night. Tuesday morning at 6 am, he didn't come out. We waited. He was gone. He cried every four hours for food, never went into the lawn, stayed within sight for days. Missy was inside that evening and until long after we searched for him. She was curious, not aggressive, but attacked another cat that came through we assumed was female last evening. Maybe the mother? Plans were not to adopt, instead hoping to find it a home, but it is still upsetting.
No covid test, out of stock at local pharmacies, feeling better except for a 40# cold sore. I ordered them online and by the time I get them, won't need them.
No stitching. I wanted to start Mary Bell on a light 40 count which I do not have. I've grown tired of looking at Meg, and attempted to stitch her muted colors on a mottled darker linen, cannot see well enough.
It's only Wednesday. I have to wait until Sunday for Saltbox Stitcher? I could go back and watch previous videos I guess. Brenda directed us to Prims on Greenway which I had viewed a while back, and the latest #32 is chock full of goodies. Mark won some $$ at golf so I ordered the applique book she mentioned.
Well, my cold sore is now 43# so I'm calling it a night. Can't wait to look in the mirror tomorrow.
Stay safe, be well, find a swing.

I hope that other cat was momma picking up her kitten. Interesting that Missy didn't go after the kitten, maybe they are less threatening to her empire?
Have you thought about trying to root some of those petunia cuttings? I tried last summer, sticking cuttings into potting soil and keeping them damp. They did root, then I succeeded in killing all but one off when I didn't get them watered for a couple of days.
Time on the swing, watching old Saltbox Stitcher episodes sounds like good medicine.
You mentioned covid test out at pharmacy, the government is still sending 4 kits for free just google. Sent through USPS, I again got mine today.
I'm glad you are feeling better, Marly, and hope that 43# cold sore has shrunk to at least 35# by today. My youngest son in Virginia just came down with Covid and I worry about him being all alone in his condo (his girlfriend is out of the country). Sure hope his case doesn't get worse. He is the first one in our family to get it, believe it or not! I just got 8 Covid tests from the USPS: https://faq.usps.com/s/article/At-Home-COVID-19-Test-Kits#online_ordering Not helpful to you now, but, sadly, I don't think this is going away any time soon.
There is something so uplifting about swinging, isn't there? I was at a playground with my grandson last month and no one was there to complain about a 67-year-old using one of the swings so I just hopped on and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Glad you have your own personal swing!
Beautiful petunias! Hope June improves for you! ♥
Your petunias are stunning, as always. I deferred this year despite my best plans. Husband came home with trays and trays of everything but petunias, it looks like a farmers market here,,,,sans petunias!
Hopefully, the mom cat came back for her baby. You can't help but be attached to the little stinkers and then they go do something like this. Another something to worry about.
I have used Blistex, the salve in little blue pots to heal cold sores. It seemed to reduce the severity and the time healing, of course, I may have been delusional, I was really sick.
On that note, when I need paint colors I know who to call.
A swing you say?? I have a single seater (just a board with rope for chains) on my wee front porch... Maybe I need a bigger one....mine isn't doing a thing for this crank. ~Robin~
