Miss Petite

Catherine had a valid question... why didn't I move the arms out by one stitch?  I wasn't counting the space between arms and dress until the leash.  That's when I realized my error.  I snapped a photo and moved her arms in the Paint program before I decided to remove the stitching.  It sort of looked odd, maybe because they are already extending outward.  One row further made her look as if she was ready to raise her arms to shout out a song.  I agree with you and she's wearing patent leather shoes.

Miss Petite is completed, and I have not been able to capture her richness with the camera, tablet, or phone.  I changed the 3064 to 435 for better show on this linen (36 count C&C Oatmeal). The red is dmc 347.

Doctor yesterday and dentist tomorrow.

Yippee.

The doctor is close to an hour away and we stopped at a grocery store, found FRESH figs!!  They aren't the large darker ones with pink flesh that I had decades ago and were not cheap, but they came home with me.  My 12" high fig trees will hopefully become strong and productive.

Have a good day!

Hi Marly: I just had hoped it would have helped, I still think she looks lovely, I adore her shoes.
I love figs, they are my go to snack, yes, I do buy some in a bag at Target but still having one is a treat for me.
My friends hate the bagged type, but since we cannot get fresh the bagged ones have to do.
We had 1 1/2 inches of rain in 45 minutes, yahoo.
Have a great day, looking forward to seeing your next start.

Miss Petite is lovely indeed...I would love to see her in person if you think your photos are capturing her richness. How will she be finished?? Figs? Ya know, color me uncultured, but never have I ever had one. Hope the doctor went well...and the dentist goes well as well. (Wow, lots of wells.) ~Robin~

So glad you went with the black shoes, Marly! She is very pretty and I enjoyed reading about how you worked through the color and design change process.

Hope the doctor and dentist visits went well!

What store did you find the figs in? My husband love figs but seems to find only the dried.

I lost patience waiting for our figs to ripen and bought some at Trader Joe's - the dark ones with pink flesh. They got moldy inside of a week - SO disappointed! But, our fig tree has a ton of fruit on it, so I'm hopeful.
