Emotions

My goodness.  When I watched Diana's procession, I had tears.  The emotions for the Queen are greater, but this time, Sjogren's is making it quite painful.  I don't know why the lack of tears burns.  But it is certainly an emotional week.  I heard this statement .... Diana was a great tragedy, the Queen is a great loss.  May she rest in loving peace.

I think we have another cat.  I feed deer, turkeys, raccoons, whatever comes to visit.  This cat has been in the area for a while and leaves in the same direction daily.  I assumed toward its home.  I don't know if this is the culprit that caused Missy's bite, she runs to windows to howl at it but not that vicious cry.  This is what Petey did, position himself to be seen from windows.  I don't want to go through another feral unless Missy will be accepting.  She smacked Petey at every opportunity.

We went to the Amish greenhouse for mums, their price is several dollars higher than last year but they offered a smaller size for less. The small combo mix is red, yellow, and orange and those are the colors I chose in the larger plants to match.  I'm disappointed that this happens so very early and more so every year.  Mid August is not the time to offer mums!!  I want them flowering in mid-late October into November.   We will have warm temps in coming days and it is hard to remove tunias but when you're wearing a sweats, it's time.

This is one of the Amish homes on that beautiful hillside, the photo doesn't do justice to the masses of various pinks covering the grounds.  Looks like mid-summer blooming, not fall.

Have a good day.

Thanks for visiting.

Cats know where to come for the good life ~ Marly's house!!!
I knew nothing about British royalty nor cared to, but after watching The Crown, I am absolutely fascinated!!!

My heritage is Scotch and Irish, this reminds me of all the stories I heard from my Grandparents growing up. While I am a proud and loyal American, much of what we know from laws to customs, often stem from the UK. I admit to choking up several times, I suspect mostly related to my own losses and the unresolved grief I carry, it carries over. The planning and precision of the processions amaze me. There will likely never be another ruler like QE II. God Speed to her and condolences to those who mourn.

That said, so sorry you are having issues with the miserable Sjogrens. I cannot imagine the discomfort of dry tear ducts.

The critters in the tri-state area seem to have your number. The feral is so sad, but taking on another member with aggression is just such a challenge, I sure don't blame you for pausing on that issue, Take care.

I teared up watching the Queen's procession this morning, too, Marly. I've been surprisingly sad about the whole chain of events given that I'm not British. I'm just so amazed at all that tiny woman saw and experienced in her lifetime. I'm sad that your Sjogrens continues to cause such discomfort...

Oh, my! Those hanging baskets on that Amish home are spectacular! I just never have luck with petunias for some reason.

Is it just me, or does your new feline "visitor" bear an uncanny resemblance to Missy?? I had dr appts so could not watch but when I turned the tv on for Snowdog before leaving (don't judge) they were showing the service in the church and I was almost late for my first appt....I could look at and study the inside of that amazing building for a long, long, time. Then I turned on the western channel for SD. That house is glorious! All petunias do you suppose? Pink is one my favorite flower colors. And I agree, even here in Nod mums are offered/ready too early. I want them blooming when everything else is done and my head has fully turned toward fall. ~Robin~

That's a lot of pink! I didn't think the Amish went in for such colorful flowers. That cat is very handsome/pretty.
