Hello hello! I got the call from cardiology and I do not need any procedures. What is causing abnormal results in testing is damage from a prior "event". An old event. I'm 71, how far back are we going? Regardless, good news. My lung scan is not until before Christmas, hoping that last scan was incorrect and there will not be bad news.
I haven't done much on Paisley but since I am using an overdyed thread, the first leg of the cross will be done first. When it's filled in, the second leg being continuous will allow the variation to show. I know a full cross should be completed before moving to the next stitch when using overdyed, but I rarely follow rules. I do the sewing method whenever possible. Ordinarily I would fill horizontal and follow with vertical rows on larger blocks of color, especially houses, which creates a perfectly neat finish for me. My color blocks appear almost ribbed because of the tension in my stitches and going in two opposite directions locks the linen from distorting and also creates a solid block, no ribs.
This gorgeous shade of red boiled wool was one of mom's favorite jackets. Lightweight but very warm, large pockets, and although Carole claimed it, it is now mine. The way the seams are finished I was able to sew another one half inch into the garment including the sleeves, all the way around. It's still a little large and I don't care for dropped shoulders but it is MINE!!! Long enough to cover tunics and those pockets are perfect for my eye drops and mouth gel. It's annoying to keep going into my purse for these items when shopping so this is huge for me. Carole will be upset, but she has mom's other jacket and this is too long for her now anyway. I will cave in and cut her hair for her this week. She refuses to use the salon there. It will be much easier on my back now because her new chair raises, and I mean raises!! To eye level with others standing and she can reach into top cabinets easily. If I don't have to be bent over to cut, this won't be bad at all.
So fricking cold. But feeling good and relieved! Except when I see vavavoom. There are a few well known people that I used to really like. Why she nauseates me now, I don't know. I feel the same about three others.
Have a great day folks.
Thanks for visiting.

I adore your snowoman!
So happy to hear your heart test results were good. Yay!
Was so glad for you with good news for a change. Your little snowman is really cute. I've stitched some of these little stuffed ones and love them.
If who VaVaVoom is who I think she is, I agree. If they have to keep finding new pill people, bring back the little lady with the wheelbarrow!
You continue with your wonderful caring for Carole. She's sure lucky to have you as her sister!
Take care and keep warm.
Answered prayer that good news has landed in your corner... May it
continue and last awhile; luxuriate in it ...well earned. Also that
crown you know where for your constancy and devotion to you know whom.
That coat looks like a classic... enjoy it and its memories.
I'm so glad you got good news from cardiology. A blessing for Thanksgiving. Next will be good news from your lung scan. And that will be a nice Christmas gift. I adore that jacket. The color and the style. Who is vavavoom and the three others that nauseate you? Please name names. I'm pretty sure if you do, we'll all agree that they probably nauseate us too. LOL LOL
So GLAD to hear your good news ! I hope the next procedure won't have to be done or the news will be as good as this one.
LOVE YOUR red coat. It is gorgeous. Enjoy wearing it.
I agree about the VaVaVoom person, the sheets, slippers and pillows from who knows where, relaxium sleep and others.. I used to enjoy "her" too. Guess she needs money ? Don't enjoy the telephone numbers being repeated five times or more either.
Its wonderful that Carole has a raiseable chair.
Going for pre-op tests myself today for surgery next week. Will be glad when it's all over.
It's getting really cold really fast. Not enjoying it.
Take care, stay well !

So happy for you with the good news from the cardiology!!!
And I love the red coat and you are right to make it your own.
You are doing so much for Carole that this is something you deserve.
Take care and stay save,Truus from Holland
I knew wheelchairs have made huge strides in what they can do, did not know about raising that high. Good for your back too. Hmph. Carole can just be upset about the jacket. :-) One of your Mom's jackets for all you do for her is small compensation.
Paisley is looking very adorable, and that's Awesome Good news on your test results. For a change. It's about time a bit of Good News has come along for you.
Hello Marly: I am so happy to hear about the cardiologist results, I hope your lung scan is clear, praying for good results.
Your mother's coat is amazing, I love the color and the buttons.
Paisley is so cute; I do not do one cross at a time I like the different look of going a half cross per line first then going back like you are doing.
I do a sewing method also when I can.
It is so sweet that you are able to cut Caroles hair.
It is still snowing here, this is the third day now, I hate cold and snow.
Have a great day
Catherine
What a beautiful red coat, Marly! Paisley is looking good. And what good news from the cardiologist. I hope the lung scan goes smoothly with good results when you have it.
Love that coat! Paisley is adorable. Have fun with the haircut.
So happy for your good news and hope there is much more!
Vavavoom??? Please fill us in. The only thing I can think of is 4 women on a nauseating show...but one is worse than the next!
LOVE that coat. Such a classic and a gorgeous shade of red. Wear it in good health!
