Hello people! With all the medical, dental, facility calls, order pickup, house modifications, and gift searching, I had a day free of obligations. But vertigo or something like it blew my plans. Finally feeling better this morning.
Before that happened, we made a door for an open shelf cupboard that was constructed long ago. Loaded with magazines and such that were favorites, I came across the old Seraph and Circa Home Living catalogs. Remember catalogs? From the thick JCPenney of decades ago to the thinner booklets that I've found, I studied them front to back. And today, still being careful of my movements, I will enjoy each page of these offers and inspiration. And then crab that I can't purchase anything right now if they are even still available. I much prefer in hand visuals over on screen. Still trying to get my purchased pdf charts printed, obviously possible since so many have done so. No answer at Staples as to why the text will print, but not the graph.
The sun is out and melting the ground frost, I ordered some gifts from Boscov's site for pickup in Ohio. Have not been in that store, but found a few bargains much less than elsewhere for gifting. We'll take a ride tomorrow to get them, and stop at our favorite Italian store for their ravioli that we will have for all at Christmas. Except for sauce, all else will be purchased. Those hectic days of cooking are over.
I may be able to work on Ann since she is 30 count, I dare not strain my eyes for 36/40 until the vertigo is completely resolved.
Hope your day is good!

Sorry about the vertigo. I've had it 3 times this past year - never had it before in my life! I, too, prefer to look at catalogues rather than on a screen. A few places still send them...but not the ones I want! Hope you are feeling better.
I had vertigo once, not an experience I want to repeat. I tried the head motions remedy and it worked so mine must have been caused by the inner ear crystals getting out of place and moving about. Or as I call them - the rocks in my head.
I spent many hours pouring over catalogs. Over the years the focus changed, toys, then clothes, home & garden, needlework... So many pages marked, lists made, orders filled out and never sent because of the total, photos ripped out and saved because "I can make that".
I hope this round of vertigo passes quickly for you!
I love the older catalogs. I hope your bout with vertigo is history. Thinking of you, Marly!
I will have to look up Boscov's.
Hopefully your vertigo is gone...and not to return.
Hello Missy...hope by now the vertigo has resolved. I hate when I am dizzy getting up - can't imagine having it at every move. Also checked out some of your older posts and am glad for the positive news on the nodule and other issues. You sound as busy helping others as always. I don't think I could handle Christmas shopping, preparations and other hullabaloo any more. Ahhh...Circa Home Living.... I still have some of those hanging around - dogeared pages of things I couldn't afford or shouldn't splurge on. Are they even around still? I haven't had a magazine from them in years. As for the other magazines I get now - I wish I didn't get them. From companies I never ordered from and never will, ones I wish I hadn't ordered from, etc. etc. Love it when they come with a sticker that says "this will be your last catalogue" and yet they keep coming month after month. Stop the madness already. Hope you're enjoying your stitching happy space. I have a huge pot of chicken wild rice and mushroom soup on...guess thought it sounded good with the snow that is falling. ~Robin~
I, too, miss those wonderful catalogs! That is how I ordered the majority of my home decor accessories in the years before the internet. No hectic days of cooking for me this Christmas either since it is my sons years with their significant other's families. It's a relief!
Sure hope the vertigo is totally gone. Having had it twice in the last couple years, I know how debilitating it can be. Enjoy your Sunday ♥
Hi Marly: I love old magazines some have the best decorating ideas.
I still have an old Sears catalog which I love it's from the 1940s.
