Pinroll

Hiya.  How's everyone?  To those of you who received the vaccine, I'm envious.
But I am up and about, I ate yesterday, and although not near proper (never was, never will be) I am so much better.  The Paxlovid meds are staying down thanks to Zofran.  Fever has left the building.

This is the little pinroll from the same BBD book that I plan to stitch titled The Budding Twigs (no idea why that name).  I will be finished with heart racing jittery dizzies from meds tomorrow and will pick up my needle then.  Using the same fabric as the Spring Green finish, the bird will be blues and browns and maybe a thread I find on the floor.

This goes with the sewing box design, Her Fair Works, but easily adapted to any of the other great pieces in this book by using the same linen and thread colors.

Then again, I am up!  Maybe I will browse a little and find another small instead.  I've only purchased two BBD books since samplers and Christmas related are what I prefer, and very glad I did.  I've already completed four from Ooh la la.

Enjoy your day, be safe, be well.

I don't think having gotten the vaccine makes any difference. A friend who is double vaxxed and boosted at least once was sick with Covid for almost 2 weeks and she said she has never been that sick...ever. DSO's son who has received the vaccines and all the boosters just had it and said he was also quite sick. So, to be honest, I have no faith that the jabs make any difference. (And both their spouses with the same number of shots also contracted Covid.)
With all that being said, I am happy you are doing better.

Ditto what Rugs and Pugs wrote. I had the 2 doses of the shot and 1 booster. Then came down with the sorest sore throat, stuffed head, fever and fatigue. I’m an otherwise healthy oldster and got these shots to protect my little grand kids that I babysit. I have zero confidence in these Covid shots and will not be getting any more.
I am very happy to see your blog post today Marly and that the meds (that I do have faith in) are helping you! Keep healing and take care

BBD are so good for quick pieces. They are always a joy to stitch and turn out well. I actually got a piece framed this week!! (picture on the blog). Hope you are feeling better.

Love this little needlework roll - I actually stitched AND have it finished and it has sat by my stitching chair ever since - partly because I like it and use it, but more as a painful reminder to never, ever, not fix a miscount. (I had stitched the majority of it only to realize I made a spacing error in the very first motif I stitched and had based all the other motifs off that one so the whole thing would have had to been redone. I thought I could adjust as I stitched the border but then that went off the rails because the two sides end up being next to each other (duh)). Glad you are doing better...but I am definitely not envious of those who are vaccinated even though I suffered through a brutal take-down with covid. Sorry. ~Robin~

That's good news. I hope you continue to feel better day by day. Take care of yourself first.

No vaccine ever has been guaranteed to totally prevent coming down with whatever disease it is for, or to have no side effects of its own. (everyone will be happy that I deleted more vaccine thoughts :-) )

Marly - I'm So Happy you are feeling better and hope you continue to improve and recover quickly and are back to stitching. I wish you were not not-recommended to get the vaccine. I have only 1 BBD book, I think I'll keep an eye out for the Oo-La-La one too. And others probably.

So good to read your update, Marly, and know that you're improving with each day. I was very worried about you... The little BBD project that is next in line looks so pretty and will be a perfect pick-me-up. Always amazes me how much our stitching can soothe us. Take care now ♥
