Almost done! Will finish the small background section of the bottom right, the rest will be one color fill.
My pink calibrachoa that I showed has an section that is withered and needs removed, about 1/4 of the plant. Looking at the center, the fullness comes from hundreds of mini shoots off of several very thick main stems. That makes them susceptible to being crimped at pot's edge from weight. I decided to make one more trip to the Amish greenhouses and very few pinks remained. This came home with me, the old guaranteed trooper. Vista. Silverberry, Bubblegum, and Fuchsia, half the cost of locals.
The plastic pot is a real bargain too. Not intended for my flowers, but with a 15"opening, perfect place for this monster now. Slightly less than $16 at Lowe's, not near the investment of nicer urns, and offers us time to play with this size before deciding on a pair. Two piece and we need to drill a few drainage holes.
That's it. More adjustments to Carole's house, this time for outdoor access, and finishing flowers. I spoke with someone that has an answer regarding those downtown floral displays. He believes they start with the 4"pots, and a deep basket. By using those pots, each plant is already well on its way to full size. Five pots in a 16"basket. Boom. Makes sense to me!
I will show the steps for the keeps/ tags/ fobs soon!
Memorial Day. Hard to believe I'm still waiting for the landscaper to finish the mess from the sewer project of 2021! If I find someone to deliver the truckload of dirt, a good pair of gloves and a bottle of Advil will be lined up.
Have a great day!!

I can't get over the size of that petunia in the pot! I'm really going to have to make a special trip to the Amish greenhouse one of these years. We haven't even bought our flowers yet as we are both STILL recovering from the cold of the century. Ugh! Just about there, though...
Love watching your progress on this pretty sampler--such interesting little creatures in it. You'd never get bored stitching this one, I'm sure. Hope you have a relaxing Memorial Day weekend ♥
Great progress on the sampler. It really is unique and intriguing. Like Carol said, hard not to lose interest. Your tunias are AHHHmazing! And that yard of yours looks incredible. You need to show us more! ~Robin~ (Where did May go??)
Love the big pot with petunia!!!
Have to go to the gardencentre to buy several pots for my hanging baskets. But first the new kitchen has to placed and cleaned and....
Your sampler is stunning and your progress is stunning.
Enjoy your petunias and take care,Truus from Holland
Hello Marly: Your Sampler is so pretty and a very interesting design, the flowers look good in the pot.
I hope you get all your work done at Caroles so you can enjoy the summer, I hope she is doing well.
What the heck is the landscaper thinking, call and tell him you are going to hire someone else and send him the bill for his unfinished work, Advil my go to for a headache.

You are making such great progress on your sampler Marly! It is beautiful...as are your petunias. Have a relaxing, lovely weekend!
Those petunias look so elegant sitting in the urn. I didn't buy any flowers this year. I didn't even get zinnias started, I may soak the seeds and get them in the ground anyway, but it's so dry...!!!!
Gosh, will you and Mark ever be really done at Carole's? Or with your own landscaping work? At least if you did get a load of dirt, you could work at it a bit at a time. You'd probably would be by now. Hiring things done is so dicy any more. Those still in business have more work than they can handle, at least the ones that know what they are doing do.
The sampler is looking good. I agree - hard to get bored on this one.
