Just wanted to mention if you are interested in the sweet Irish Sampler, Wyndham has #1 and also #2 on their ebay site https://www.ebay.com/str/wyndhamneedleworkscats.
This is what #1 looks like, my favorite of the two (which I have but unable to locate so had to repurchase). If I remember correctly, those three large flowers are queen stitch which will not happen.
This is #2.
Sweet!
They have books and some Needleart and Embroidery magazines also along with a good selection of Nostalgic Needle charts.
Finished. Backstitched for a sewing line since this heart has angles. I like this look, so I may allow it to show along the seam. A mattress finish was preferred, but too difficult with the deep center.
Happy weekend.

Love your small Quaker heart finish, Marly! Because of you I am going to stitch this again soon. I know you used Ginny Thompson flower thread. Which red is it? Thanks for sharing a better picture of the Irish Sampler. Happy Saturday!
Sweet Quaker heart, pretty red! Love the Irish samplers. So satisfying to stitch smalls and have a quick finish!
Talk about great minds...I've never attempted a mattress finish but was considering one for a little piece I need to ffo. Think I've talked myself out of it though. Love both of the Irish samplers though I think my favorite is the second. There's something about birds I love. Go figure. ~Robin~
Hello marly: Thank-you for the information on the designs.
Love the heart so sweet.
Have a great weekend.

So pretty Marly! And Wyndham Needleworks - I used to order from them ALL the time decades ago when they had a web site. I'm going to check out the Etsy page. thanks for the link!

OK, for those of us who barely stitch or sew, what is a mattress finish?
