Time for Toms to strut.
The females are mostly ignoring them, but courtship won't be a problem with a flock of over fifty.
OK ladies. We're lining up for your approval.
Slow pageant turn.
And now the rear view. Hey ladies! You're leaving?
Can you imagine the number of poults from the flock?
Julia is finished. I used option #2 and I like the result. Too lazy to climb stairs, will press and post her tomorrow.
Stay safe.

That is a lot of turkeys! I do have one question - where do you order frames from? I know you had posted that in the past, but I failed to write the information down.
I don't think the flock of turkeys that make an occasional appearance here has been by in many months now. I bet those hens are giving a look-over out the side of their eyes while they appear to ignore the toms. I wonder if the hens compare notes on their observations?
WooHoo on persevering with Julia!
Your flock of turkeys is amazing, Marly. Well done on getting Julia finished!
just love seeing the turkeys ~ our flock isn't that big, but we have a few Big Guys in the mix that love to gobble at dusk down in the deep woods in the back of the farmhouse....and
Yay on your finish!!!
That's a lot of drumsticks! How cool to see that in person.
Julia is lovely ;-)
Beautiful finish! So glad you shared.
Great photos of the Toms. I had three parade through here the other day but without the "fan"fare...and not a single hen in sight. I thought it odd for the 3 of them to be out catting around by themselves. Wow...once you made your mind up you popped that border out lickety-split. She looks lovely! ~Robin~
I miss our wild turkeys. We used to see them up until maybe 8-10 years ago. Same with the pheasants...when we moved in we saw them, now it's been close to 3 decades since we saw one.
