Hi folks. Thanks for the good vibes, no one has called with test results. Maybe today. Only two episodes yesterday.
Bernarda is coming along, the photo does not capture how soft and complimentary these three colors are.
And after the Dane destroyed the Bluebird piece, this is the save. I was weaving new linen threads in the tears but continually came upon another, so I quit. The stitchery was glued to a covered back board with the poms glued between, can't save the trim. Not important. She's lucky I was able to save this. Removed some of the design, will add buttons or knots on the corners where ribbon will be attached.
This is the gate (to keep Dane from escaping) for Carole's deck that hubs made. It is the width of her ramp, quite wide, so he put a caster on the bottom of the latch end to make it easier to swing open. Hinge does not allow to open out, only in, should work well.
There is a very heartbreaking situation happening, no resolution, no help from any agencies, I don't know how this will end. Not good, I'm sure. It involves two dozen abandoned pets.
Hope you have a safe and comfortable weekend.

Marly! Such a rich history your bluebird piece will have! It's beautiful with all its tears (and tears!). We just adopted a rescue. Sweetest little dog in the world. Found on the side of an Oklahoma highway...perhaps those two dozen will be discovered by loving hearts....
Great save on the bluebird piece.
You and hubby are so talented and come up with so many great fixes.
So sad about the abandoned pets. Hopefully some rescue groups will come forward.
Awesome save on the Dane destroyed piece, Marly! I love the gate your husband made for Carole's deck. Adding a caster is a good idea. Your sampler is looking good.
You and Mark are quite the creative duo. Wonderful save of the bluebird - and the gate is ingenious. I don't even want to try to imagine the "situation" regarding the abandoned pets. People hurting/neglecting animals just rips my heart out - and pushes all my buttons. ~Robin~
What a wonderful solution for the bluebird and Mark certainly knows his business in solving
that gate situation. Hope you get your results soon. So sad about the abandoned pets..Some
people just don't understand the obligation a pet entails and are clueless how to responsibly
deal with their inability to handle. Hoping they can be placed.
Great save there Marly. And Mark did very well with the gate!
Hope you can relax this weekend. :)
Hi Marly: I hope you get results very soon.
Love the gate, adding coasters is a wonderful idea, your husband is a genius.
Looks like the pillow is saved.
The people that get animals and then just throw them away should be charged, thank-you for taking care of them, you are an angel.
Catherine
Hope you got the results yesterday or otherwise on monday.
The saved piece is looking good .
Mark is a genius! Hope the Dane is not going over the gate now for escaping.
Poor little pets leaving alone and wish there are people to rescue them and give them a good home.
Take care,Truus from Holland
I'm surprised the bluebird damage wasn't worse given the size of the dog. Nice save!
The gate looks good. It's a nice touch to add the caster on the moving end.
I wish there were a way to prevent people from taking on more animals than they can care for. So easy to save "just this one" and suddenly it's beyond their capability to handle.
I hope you get the test results soon.
We had a hoarder elderly man that thought he could still care for his Carine Terriers. The house smelled horrible and we were glad his family took action to help him. So sad when folks think they can take care of animals and then cannot. Glad you were able to save part of your bluebird. Janice
