Bernarda Bellon
The Wishing Thorn
4" x 5" on 40 count with dmc.
Two rows removed from design, minor changes.
Hope you had a safe 4th. I have never heard thunderous, disturbing, scary, finale as this one. Unbelievable sound level.

Reallly pretty. The colors are lovely in a muted, gentle way. The borders are so delicate.
Around here for the last couple years, there's been a movement to eliminate noise fireworks because of all the damage and trauma the explosive sounds cause to wildlife, pets, and veterans suffering from PTSD. It makes me sick to think of all the birds and wild animals who are suffering.
In retaliation, the organizers of at least one local fireworks display designed the display to use larger and more powerful explosives, to horrific levels of noise. They did it ON PURPOSE, to "stick it to the libs".
I sincerely wished they would blow their own heads off, but alas.
Marly, your sampler is perfection. Will you frame it? I love the colors and the pretty simplicity of it.
Here we had about 14 hrs of booming and banging in the neighborhood. I swear they must of spent a month’s wages on them all! Idiots!!
Enjoy your weekend! Cherie in WI
What a sweet finish…as always!

Love your finish! It's beautiful and wondering how you will finish this sampler into a hanging or something else.
Take care,Truus from Holland
What a pretty finish Marly. Love the colors you chose.
The fireworks here were pretty mild compared to some years and the neighborhood was pretty quiet too (except for my neighbor on her deck with a very loud voice!).
Lovely finish. e did not even go to the fireworks this year. We heard them though as our town is about a mile from us. Hope you had an awesome 4th! Janice
Very Pretty!
Such a lovely, calming, piece! There've been 4 nights of fireworks here - and I'm sure another tonight and tomorrow at least. No different than other years, but I'll be glad when they are done with. I'm over it. ~Robin~
I love it, I am wondering if you offer classes on your "in hand" method? I have a few hoops, stands, etc. I am having trouble with my arthritic hands fussing around the wood to make a stitch!
This piece is so lovely, Great Job!
Love the simplicity and serenity of color in this one...
