Bingo!
Ain't she sweet? 3.5 x 5.5 inch. I love the dmc 3831, and preferred the date in the corner rather than the birds.
Enjoy the first fricking weekend of August.

Just posted to IG.
Spot is finished with really crappy mini poms, can't remember seller. DMC on 40 count.
He and Spot the Horse can hang together.
He's adorable and I would like to do a calico or orange tabby facing opposite to hang with him. Should not be too difficult.
Not ready to explain the rescue situation yet. That is difficult.
I have chosen five small projects and plan to kit them this afternoon. Rather than delay a new start while deciding on one, it seems a good time to start them all. Spot said to stop pussyfooting around.
Enjoy your weekend!

Jane Moore 1825
The Wishing Thorn
46 count, dmc, minor changes, no border, 4.5" square
Boom.
***************
My first 46 count. I found that the weft (?) threads (vertical to selvage) are shredding, breaking, even without much stress. The warp threads (horizontal) are still breaking with a tug but are stronger than the weft. I am sure this is not the norm with this count, and am anxious to stitch on a different piece.
So, this sweet sampler from Scarlet Letter will be added to the pile for final finishing. It is just under 5" x 2.5".
Folded in half, a darling little needle book.
If mylar or mat board inserted, I can stand it half open as a miniature book, both sides visible. Sounds good!
Yesterday's mail delivered this market release that hasn't seemed to get much buzz. I recently saw a chart with these same letters in red on a sampler, different designer. Striking, and hope to finish as a book/journal cover, may be a perfect fit. The 1840 miniature standing with it .... yepper!
Be well, be safe.

Snow. Need I say more.
So here's the little fat drum. Very difficult to get a good photo of the gingham pattern or depth of red which is much stronger than it appears here. Added the pen for scale ( blue tape identifies Frixion for me).
Option to finish as a pin roll, no? If I make another with the charted fabric, one drum, one roll? Or do the complete sampler on the straw gingham?
Ollie is walking just fine this morning. He has that type of very thick hair that snow sets on, doesn't seem to penetrate. Like a deer. One (deer) that we are feeding was either born with an unusable leg or was injured. It just dangles and she is so thin, shunned and alone. An unexpected video clip when scrolling IG showed adult elephants throwing and shunning a baby and I couldn't sleep last night. Probably not for a while. The photos of bloodied dogs that people deliberately injure, claim the animal is stray and needs help, and then offers links to send money for treatment is a new disgusting scam. Some are legit and if inclined, verify the group by entering their name/link in another tab.
Hope your day goes well. Stay safe folks.
