Am I sorry I cut the linen preventing the border I had no intention to stitch?
Of course.
Would I have been able to complete such a border during my era of errors?
Of course not.
Am I happy with this little sampler?
Yep.
40 count cappuccino, dmc, added the heavier outline. Scrappy new tablet's photo looks like a row of pink. Nope. But I wondered if a light blue row between the red would be good. Stitched the alphabet in eyelet. Hope to final finish with subdued olive green backing. Red would be too much. Or not.
Boom.
Have a warm and sunny day.

It is a beautiful sampler finish, Marly!
I like yours so much without the fancy border and I just saw all your Santas. They blew me away. He's the man!
I also like yours very much minus the busy border. Good call. I’m enjoying your Santa display on that shelf. Each are standing tall and proud and we can easily admire your work. Marly, even with all that goes on in your life you are clever, creative and prolific!!!!
So sweet ♥️
It looks great without the border, Marly! Really like that eyelet alphabet you did, too. Your changes always enhance the final look!
Congrats on your latest finish. I was sorry to read you weren’t going to do the border (or a version of it) but now I like it much better without. How clever of you to be able to insert the photo of your finish into the photo of the pattern cover.
Another beauty! You go girl!
It is a wonderful finish borderless. Janice
What a gorgeous finish!!
It's a lovely sampler and as others are saying, without the border is great!
It's too busy with that border.
Take care, Truus from Holland
