Hi folks. I made a few floss ring fobs and am happy to show how I did it, but I'm sure there is a trick I am unaware of.
First thing I learned ... the paper must be substantial. No thin copy paper as I use at home. Cardstock or a paper such as my local Staples has in their copiers, very nice weight and bright white. When I used my thin stock, the texture of the metal base it is glued to showed.
Only made a few so as I said, there are tips and tutorials online that I will look for.
I had copies made at Staples of my sampler catalog, a chart photo or photocopy of your stitching will work also as long as it is shrunk/sized to the pendant tray you are using. The trays are various sizes, finishes, edges, shapes on Etsy. Make sure the glass cabochon is included.
Here's supplies used.
Place your glass on the photocopies to size and choose what you like.
Add a light mark along outside of the glass shape.
After cleaning the flat side of the glass, drop some glue and use a brush or your finger to smear evenly.
Use the marks as a guide and center the glass, press down for a few seconds for uniform contact. After ten minutes or longer dry time, use small sharp scissors and trim to the edge.

Spread the glue evenly onto the tray, drop the glass inside while making sure it is centered with the hanger, press to make good contact for a few seconds.
If you're not pleased with placement or change your mind, soak in water a few minutes, easily removed (before attaching to the metal tray!). Any glue on the glass is also easily removed with a damp cloth.
Now here's my problem. On some, I am getting an iridescent reflection as you see in the roof. Only when the angle of light hits it, and I don't really care, but I don't understand the cause. Same photocopy paper, glue is uniform, pressed hard or light, it sometimes happens.
This wasn't noticed at first and only as I said, at an angle. The roof does look a little darker in that area on this photo, but why only there?
These two are fine, both from Staples copier, as the above was also. Is this on any that you have purchased?

So that's it. I will search for an answer and make sure I have an extra copy of what I choose in case I need to remove and start over.
You can use split rings or another type of ring to attach to the hanger depending on what you prefer. If using a photo or initial or something to create a necklace, the attached hanger doesn't need another ring to hang properly but on a floss ring, it's at an angle.
And when all is said and done, you're crabby, flashing, and hopped up on steroids, you fry salami.
Butter, add garlic powder and Italian seasoning, grill the bread. Top with swiss, lettuce, mayo and Italian dressing. (Salami is slit so it lies flat when frying).
Have a good day!!
p.s. I had massive increases in blog stats, not sure what that means.
Doubtful it is a good thing, probably a spammer.
