Greetings. VOTE! For my guy! Long line early this morning and everyone liked my hoodless hoodie. My plans for EVLA next week were changed quickly when a slot opened for this morning. Since my leg was still mapped I was the only one that could be added to the roster. I jumped at the chance to get it over with and had it done today. Wasn't as painful as the first leg. But it is now which is fine with me.
There was also a change in stitching plans. I finally found the Santa charts that were missing (I forgot I gave a group of PS's away in an offering!) and this was lying beneath.
This kind of fits the bill of wanting to work on a sampler while adding to the Christmas decor. I had Mary Beale's Sampler Wreath, never stitched it, and I believe it's gone forever. It's been years since I've seen it. No longer available but Mary's site still has this one and other ornaments, I think. If you've never visited her site, click here and be sure to click on Linda's trees to view the sampler trees. I can't believe how many floss colors are required for this design but I'm ready to start.
My boxes came in and it's a win/lose situation. The boxes are perfectly shaped, but they are slightly smaller than the ones I've always used. Maybe this is why I can't get the others - everything else is being made smaller and this could be the new size. Even my haircolor is now 1.84 ounces instead of 2.0. Really? 1.84? Here they are stacked among the others and you can see the little bit of difference, but they can make a stack of 6 because of the change.
I could use the same labels and no one would probably notice the difference if I had shut up. This is the newest size and I love it. It's the size of the bottom of the stack as a single and higher. Can't wait to work on these. Sending this shipment back would be costly and since I can't find them elsewhere, will probably keep these.

The wireless connection to the printer is still a problem, and if it wasn't so heavy, would have been out the window by now.
I'll work on fixing that or replacing it so I can get to finishing the boxes.
Hopefully, I won't lose interest in the new stitching project, but lots of color changes make me nuts. As I've said before, I'm a stitch wimp!
I hope all is well with you and yours.
Thank you for visiting.
Stay safe and stitch happy.

Glad the EVLA is done and wasn't too bad!!! Hopefully the pain won't get any worse.
Oh, I need to get a set of those boxes for a Christmas gift ~ or maybe two!!! I just love the set I won and the set I gave to a friend was well received!
Hugs :)

Good news that the EVLA is over and done with... and that it didn't cause you too much pain!!
Love the Mary Beale you are working on! I'm with you... I don't like changing threads too often...it makes me cranky! But hopefully this wreath sampler will be a quick and fun stitch.
Great boxes... I'm sure no one would have known if you hadn't mentioned it. Looking forward to seeing them after you've worked your magic on them!!
I love the way your boxes come out.
I'm happy to hear your procedure went better than expected. That is always a good thing!
I don't understand about sizing down some things. Cake mixes? I can understand deodorant and stuff like that but other things don't make sense. With hair color, I think it's a evil plot to sell 2 boxes!
I think this wreath just might be worth the trouble. It is beautiful. The boxes look very promising.
Glad that your procedure went well. Nothing worse than having something done and it hurts.
Love your boxes they always look lovely. We have the same thing here with lots of things being smaller than they used to be. I think that it is quite sneaky lol. They still charge you the same but for instance, the biscuits are smaller. - Sandra.
I'm glad your procedure went well. Hope you aren't hurting too much!
The sampler wreath pattern is sooo pretty.
I don't see the difference in the boxes, I wouldn't give it another thought. They'll be perfect.
Hugs,
Susan
So glad that procedure is over for you and praying pain will get better soon. I love what you ate doing with Mary? Beautiful.
I forgot! Would you share where I could get boxes? Just google? Thanks!

Love your chart.
Those box's are just wonderful , I know they will look beautiful. hugs.
Yup I am so happy that everything went well..
Cute chart and I love your boxes so much..always
Love cucki xxx
So glad your procedure went well.
Color changes make me an unpleasant person to be around. I L.O.V.E variegated thread!!
I have a couple of your boxes. They are among my favorite things.
I have a few friends who have a wireless printer and they all end up plugging the darn thing in. Is that an option for you?
Glad to hear that the second leg is over and that you are the way to recovery.
I know that the new boxes will work out and they will be fabulous.
Great new Christmas project!
I'm glad your procedure is over with--hope the healing goes well! I love your new project--LOVE Mary Beale's designs & wish she'd put out more releases.
Oh Marly! What a wonderful new project! I have prayed for your quick recovery.
So glad you got the EVLA over & done with! I pray you will be better than new in no time : ) Thanks for the Mary link ... I'll go check it out : )
What a beautiful Sampler Wreath!
Happy stitching!
Evelyne
I know you'll make your new boxes work, Marly--if you can remake a hooded sweatshirt and make it look so great, you'll have no trouble with these differently sized boxes! I do hate it when they change everything--especially sizes of food packages that are called for in recipes!!
Glad your EVLA went well... hope you are as good as new in no time :)
