Good day all. Just finished the Wee Santa and it was a really fun stitch.

Not sure of his finish - kind of liking the idea of fringed edges on the wool bag to fill with greens. Or just backed with fabric.
When I lost my computer, I also lost the link to these knobs. I found the source in only one place and new searches have failed. Anyone know where to purchase?
I tried the suggestion of turkey or chicken baby food for Squeak and he is eating it. Still can only eat so much and then stops. The other three were sleeping and as soon as I put the dish down, the aroma made them all converge on Squeak's dish. Didn't expect that! I picked up Bud to put him in the house and he tore up my right hand, one is between the fingers. Still haven't patched the hole Missy put in my other shirt, and now I have one more to do.
Have a wonderful week that is ending a summer month. If only winter went as fast.
Thanks for visiting!

How sweet! I like the red wool bag.
I am hoping you can get him in a carrier soon, and off to the elderly vet. :)
Good morning: I am like you I think going without a border many times make a project look a whole lot better, I think it is not being lazy just a choice of our own.
Has the vet checked Squeek for a twisted intestine? just asking, hope he gets better soon.
Blessings

omg! what a cute finish!! glad to hear Squeak is eating a bit, hope he is doing better soon.
Great news that Squeak is eating!
Now on to your knob question, have you tried Nice Knobs, Millennium Hardware or Whitechapel? Hope maybe at least one of them has what you are looking for. Have a great day.

Love the Santa
That turkey and chicken baby food gets them every time.. The healthy ones would probably like a steady diet of it. I'm so glad that Squeak is eating some.
Now you're going to get me started on Santas again.. I haven't finished the ones I did last year yet.. I want to have them ready for my tree this Christmas for sure.. Need to stay out of the garden and do some sewing.
You little Santa is so cute.. I've done borders on all of mine but think I may just leave them off from now on.. It will make getting to another Santa quicker..
Have a lovely weekend and upcoming week..

Sweet, sweet Santa.
Happy Sunday :)

What a cute Santa finish, Marly--I think he would be great on a wool bag. I'll have to remember that as a future finishing idea.
Hope you can find those knobs--that must be so frustrating.
Sounds like Squeak is improving bit by bit thanks to your TLC and some helpful hints from blogging friends!
Love the Santa finish. Poor Squeak. At least he ate some. :(
I love your Santa I'm a quilter and just started to get into wool appliqué. I so want to try cross stitch. But I'm kinda clueless. So many different types of fabrics and some hard for me to see ! I'm so glad the turkey baby food working that I suggested .. It worked for my yorkie when he stopped eating. I was so grateful. He gets some now to start his day everyday in the morning. Then I cook for him now. Turkey breast , brown rice .. And he gets carrots and other things added he has doubled his weight now and is very healthy. I'm happy it helped. Keep trying with it. Turkey is better than the chicken I've heard. Try the nutrical. It comes in a tube like toothpaste. And is highly digestable for sick animals. It is high in calories and nutrients for animals not eating. Places like petco carry it. Or online. Animals love the taste. And only need like a little bit of it a day. Like 1/2 teaspoon. Might help him gain some strength. Hope that helps.
what a cute finish..so cute
Glad to hear Squeak is eating a bit and I hope he is doing better soon...
Big hugs x

OMG, I'm so going to start on Christmas.....am getting this pattern and hope I can find a red bag. Hope you don't mind me stealing your idea - never would've thought of it and such a great idea, for me AND to give as a gift. Your brain must always be on full speed ahead.
Bless you Marly for working with these cats! Working with feral and semi-ferals is simply draining. Hugs to you.
That's a really cute Santa! I look forward to seeing how you do the final look! Glad Squeak is eating a bit more... sounds like you are doing all you can! Can't ask for more! You're a good egg! Hugs!
Wee Santa looks great. I often stitch over a stitch to avoid ripping it all out.
What an adorable finish and I like the way you added the holes to Santa's belt. I never would have thought of that but it does look right.
I'm loving the idea of the red wool bag with some lovely winter greenery.
I wonder what you decided in the end.
