How's the weekend going so far? Mine started with Carole not being able to breathe again and it lasted for quite a while. She has been OK since and is concerned as to the real cause. This should not be happening.

I changed the stag's body, left off the date, and added a rusty star (clear nail polish on back). Haven't had time to do the blanket stitch around three sides, poke holes in the heavy felted wool back for the leather laces. Probably won't either. Tomorrow is cleaning day at Carole's, then taking her to the hospital for labwork Monday, get groceries, make Nona's risotto or Baba's stuffed cabbage for Christmas Eve. Platters and buffet for Christmas. I just can't do more than that and our traditional meals will not be served this year. Haven't even baked a cookie so for the first time in forever, I will have to purchase a store's cookie tray. That's OK. The food isn't what's important.

And now for the drawing. The winner is Sheravery. I can't contact you so please email your location and address to me. Jingle Bird will be winging it Monday morning.
Thanks again to all of you for participating.
Welcome to new followers! I hope you will enjoy visiting, and I thank you all for continuing the relationships we share through this medium. I'm not a Facebooker, not on Instagram, and enjoy the blogland way of connecting with others and learning more about fellow stitchers and their lives.
I am more exhausted than I realized, and am unplugging for a week while preparing for the holiday.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas.
If I'm not back before then, best wishes for a wonderful and Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Good thoughts coming your wat for your sister.
Hope they figure out Carole's breathing issues. I don't have any suggestions about the big mean cat; hopefully someone will be able to offer advice. I love the change you made in the stag's body.

Merry Christmas!!!
I am so behind and missed entering your sweet give-away. I wouldn't know how to act if I wasn't behind!
Glad to hear your sister's surgery went well. Hopefully she won't continue to have problems. This getting old is NOT for sissies.
Hugs :)

I'm so sorry to hear Carole had breathing problems again. Hope they find the answer as to why it happened. So sorry about the mean cat too. I wish I knew what you could do. :( Hope you and your family have a happy Christmas week.
I hope your sister will improve and get stronger.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas to you too and I sure hope things work out okay with the cats. Its awful when you are so helpless, We have a neighborhood bully here too.
Congrats to the winner! Love your feather tree finish.
Wish I could give some advice about the cat problem. Maybe you could set a trap. Anyhow, hope you can find a solution. Merry Christmas!
Oh Marly, you just didn't need this cat situation now! He's fighting because he's intact. He needs to be trapped and neutered. Sending healing thoughts to your sister. Hopefully there will not be any more episodes. Rest well, Marly and do something for yourself.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Hugs,
Merry Christmas! Have you tried spraying the nasty cat with water? Just have a squirter to hand nearby and he should soon get the message.
I wish you, your sister and and your family a merry Christmas. I'm not on FB, not twitter too, and I have not a blog, I think about create one perhaps in 2015 ...
Thank you for all your greetings.
I like your interpretation of Comet's Feather Tree.
Merry Christmas!
Oh I like Hazel's idea! I bet the outside water is shut off, or I would blast him with the hose! Dump a pot of water on him!!
God bless you all. I am praying. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and your family, and best wishes to your sister!
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hoping the New Year brings you all good things!

I hope your sister will be much better soon. I would agree with Mary A. on the cat issue. I had the same happen and with the help of our local no kill animal refuge trapped, neutered, released.
Hi Marly,
Trusting they will find the answer to Carole's problem so you can all get some peace and much neededd rest!
The squirt bottle idea has worked for me with a nasty cat that kept coming around! Didn't want it to hurt my granddaughters and it solved the problem without injuring it!
Wishing you and yours a Peaceful and Blessed Christmas!
Warm Hugs~

Merry Christmas and May your days be bright. Continued prayers for sister Carol and for the fury beasts kind and wild. Meany is beautiful....hope he finds his way.
Merry Christmas, Marly! I love your deer finish :) Hope the mean cat hits the trail or learns to make peace with All!
Morning Marly, hope all is well with your Sister, keeping her in my prayers.Christmas Blessings, Francine.
Merry, Merry Christmas to you and your family! Will look forward to seeing you in the new year!
I know it is sounds awful but sometimes you must spray water or throw a cup of water at this very mean cat. ( hold on to the cup) hahah. I have had to do it hear to a very bothersome cat. Yet we have a big old feral cat " Louie" here for years, my calico adored him they would sit for hours on my neighbors front steps ( the front of her house faces south). Last year he was missing. Hoping you have a quiet New Year .
I hope all is well with your sister.
Keep chasing that cat away!! We had the same problem and I was so persistent chasing him that it worked. Try putting antibiotics in his food as soon as you can.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Peaceful New Year.
Forgot to mention how much I love your cross stitch piece!!
Can you call an animal shelter to come and help catch him? We used a live trap once and then our friend took the cat to their farm and things worked out. I hate to see the others suffering and I hate to think of you suffering! You have enough of that with your sister! God Bless!! Krissy B.
Marly, Merry Christmas to you and your family! Praying for you and your sister. Your Comet's Feather Tree is lovely. So sorry to hear about the "large mean cat". Sending well wishes to Bud. Thank you for such a wonderful blog!! Wishing you the very best in 2015! SAH
I totally agree that Christmas is not about the food. I made up my mind many years ago that I would not spend the day in the kitchen. I'll do that for Thanksgiving but not Christmas. My family was all just fine with that decision. Plus the DH and I have weight to loose, what would the evil cookies do for us!!
Marly,
THANK YOU!! I am sooo thrilled to be the lucky recipient of your Jingle Bird piece. I love it! I have sent you my information to your gmail address. Hope that is the proper place.
Again, a million thanks!
-Sherry-
A blessed Christmas and a Happy 2015 to you and yours!
Hugs,
Rose
That is a darling finish, Marly, and I like your changes. The idea of the clear nail polish on the back to protect the linen is great!
I hope Carole feels much better very soon and the mean cat takes a hike--the bully!
Hope Buddy boy is going to be ok!
We've been dealing with neighborhood bullies and the hose only helped while we were around. I'd definitely try and trap him and if they insist on releasing the cat back (if it's not chipped, etc), try and convince them NOT to release it back in your area.
Good luck!
thanks for telling me about E-Bay, my stitching book arrived yesterday in the mail. Mail lady delivered it to my door. Thanks again have a Merry Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. hugs Lynda Ruth
Merry Christmas, Marly. Hope you and your family have a lovely holiday.
I hope your sister will be okay. Thinking of you and praying for her. Have a Merry Christmas Marly. hope that jerk cat stays away!
My blessings to Carole, I hope they find out what is happening soon.
Love your deer pillow and pocket so sweet.
Merry Christmas
