Grab 'n go

got up and went.  I have been so thoroughly discombobulated lately that I can't focus to think clearly.  I think Mary Ann needs different linen and the stash is such a mess, I don't know where to start.  All the recent orders for more fabric is my way of trying to muster interest in continuing to stitch.  I took out all the big girls that I really would like to do, but just can't bring myself to start.  So when all else fails, go back to the pile.

For right now, this is my choice.  Tonight anyway.  But I see this on a darker bronze/green/brown linen with not many floss changes in the body.  But wild birds.  Red, bright blue, gold, lots of color at the bottom.  So that's the plan today.  We'll see what tomorrow brings. I so hate pulling out linen for color and size.

Budman has been enjoying the hot lazy days and is usually on the swing with me.  Yesterday he kept head butting me to scratch him, so I did.  He reciprocated.  I should buy peroxide in a gallon.

Congrats.....Budman has made you a member of the colony:) That's usually what the head bunt means. I want to sit on your pretty swing and stitch that beautiful bird sampler. It will be stunning in color!

Marly, I love this design. I did one but followed their suggestions. I am simply NOT brave enough to do what you do. Anyways, I love it. I will be so interested in seeing what you do with it. ENJOY! I miss not having a cat, but hubs says he is allergic??? Good excuse.

Peace & Blessings,

Barb

Love the sampler you will stitch today!
When I don't want to look for threads I will take a color I do love and start stitching with only one color for the whole chart,or take a thread that chances color.
Enjoy your stitches

Sorry to hear that the Budman wanted to be scratched and then scratched on you! Nice choice in samplers! I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Lovely choice for your next stitch. Keeping busy but not too is good for us. Lovely yard too! And a very fat cat!

Maybe you need a "stay-away-cation" from stitching for a week or two. I like the sampler you've picked and know it will be beautiful when you get all of the colors picked out.
Maybe the heat got to "Budman". Sorry you got the "raw" end of the scratching. He's not being a good boy to scratch his Momma.
Have a relaxing weekend.

Summer projects can be that way - leave you in the doldrums. I pulled out an old project that's 75% finished (knitting) and do a few rows every night just so I can say I did. I've got a new project going and thinking about another. It's the thinking that keeps me interested, unfortunately, not the "doing". When the cool weather comes again the gears will begin to move slowly but at least I'll get moving.Just started Weight Watchers and started drinking diet tonic water instead of my evening cocktail. The weight stopped coming off - I didn't know tonic water is as high in sodium as pizza. Check one more thing I like off the list...
