Hornbook measure

Good idea?  One cute little hickeymabob instead of several for corner measuring?  I thought about this when working on my hornbook and the corner tags (which I still love) and finally got around to having Mark cut a few.
Each side is a measurement so you have 2, 3, and 4 in one piece. A hole will be drilled in the handle for hanging.  Didn't get that far yet.  Not easy making such a tiny label.

What do you think?  Should I make a few for sale?

Have a good weekend!

Those are pretty nice, but aren't they upside down? I thought the stitching was done so that when you hold the handle and look at it you can read it. Just my thought.

Marly, these are all very lovely! Your stitching is so perfect and I am intrigued with the style on the wooden board. (I know, I am new to this prim stitching group. so much to learn!) I feel certain that these would sell if you were interested in doing so.

What a fabulous idea! (and so much more attractive than the square piece of lucite I have with inch markings...)

I would definitely buy one or two! I especially like the sampler on the one you used to show the measurements.

Love these! Is that a pattern to stitch or printed? You should make them available with or without the hole since I don't believe the real hornbooks had a hole in them. Very cute idea!

How clever of you, very useful too ,like using a dollar bill or any denomination to measure about 6 in. I would buy of course.

Is that a trick question? Duh...OF COURSE! But I have 2 questions: (1) Do you lay awake nights with all these incredibly ingenious thoughts running through your head? and (2) What, exactly, would I measure with these?? Happy Sunday.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I would buy one from you and keep it with my cross stitch supplies to measure linen. They are so cute! Dare I say painted finish would be cute too?!
