An easy stitch

doesn't always correlate with an error free stitch.  Off one thread, really don't care, stitched the same error on the other side to match it.

35 count R&R Mink.  Started it on 30 count and decided it would be a little too large to hang from a cupboard, so moved to one thread on the 35 count making it less than 6 1/2" wide.  I haven't stitched the lion in the middle of the row yet, not crazy about a pink lion (sorry Vickie), may try a yellow toned beige.  Eyelet is a stitch I like to see in samplers but most require it for the entire alphabet and that gets to be tedious for me.  This one line is perfect.

I have been having evil thoughts for a while now.  Giving up the needle.  In fact, selling off some pieces.  Mark said just roll them up and store them because I will be sorry.  That makes sense since I usually regret a LOT of my decisions.  I don't know if I am nearing the end zone of menopause and it is putting forth a final blitz, but everything seems to be changing.

Mia, I cannot reply to you.  This design is very old and may be available on Ebay or Etsy, possibly Em-li's http://www.emlis.com/.  Sheepish Designs Rosanna Pinkham.

Have a great start to an even better week.

I think it would be a good idea to save your stash for now.

Agree with Mark...pack the stuff up and do something else...I often get bored with my things...or pissed at them if truth be told...time away helps...

If needlework is making you mental, pack it up. I would NOT sell it off. Not yet. I think you will regret it.
Hmm, I look forward to seeing what you do with your lion. I happen to think little Rosanna made the perfect choice in pink floss. :D

Take a break Marly. Sleep on it. Don't make any rash decisions.

I nearly got rid of all my stash a year ago...I just was going through a funk of some kind. I am so glad I listened to my husband and didn`t, I am back stitching and loving it again. Just taake a break and do something else that brings you joy...your stash will be waiting. ((hugs))

Well I gone and did it! You have inspired me so I found this pattern and purchased it. I am going to try, mess up, try to change some colors. I have a brown brindle like cat and a black and white persian and that is what these big cats are going to be. May change the ducks to what is on the pond in front of our home that we feed. I won't be doing this for a while but I am going to be brave like you!

Marley, you sound really down and it's not easy to hear from the one who keeps so many of us up with your warped humor. I agree with Mark, just put it all aside and let time tell you if you really want to stop or not. We will still love you and your blog if you don't stitch.Everyone switches gears from time to time and winter sure can make us want change as we feel cooped up. Your stitching is so wonderful but it's not your whole identity.Meno madness can really get the best of us too and it will be a better day when that is done and gone. I hope something makes you laugh today. Cyber hugs to you.

I know someone who sold everything -- her threads, fabrics, sewing machine, patterns -- everything for all of her crafts. Several months later, she changed her mind. I agree with what Mark said, just set things aside for a while. Hang in there, Marly. Sending you [[[HUGS]]]

Close it up, pack it up, box it up - out of sight, out of mind. Look at other things. Garden (well, once we get to spring), read, watch some great old classic movies (or some new ones), give the kitties catnip and just watch 'em go. Breathe, relax, take a serious break. Or perhaps throw yourself into a difficult refinishing project (you do that, right?).

Ah, yes, we're all telling you what to do, aren't we? And I'm being Little Miss Echo - must agree with Mark. I downsized my stash when we moved five years ago - kept what I loved, gave away what I thought I'd never use. Wanna know how many of those charts I've already bought again? And how many are on my search list at ebay? Yeah, don't ask.

Rosanna is looking quite nice (the other lion is really *pink*? yikes!).

I agree , don't sell anything until you are absolutely sure. I have done that and then find just the perfect use for what I had thrown out. Then I just kick myself for the hasty move!
