I actually had no trouble removing those letters and it ended up being a good thing, because I did not like their color anyway. This is a very very small piece, not enough room for several colors. I did use the recommended threads the first time I stitched it and this one will be very different.
For those that didn't see the error, here it is! I was down one thread on those four letters and the dividing band beneath would have made this more obvious. This is a simple design and in my opinion, anything off a little would not have the charm of a reproduction's misplacements. It would look like some old lady had the wrong glasses, messed up, and was too lazy to correct it.
I so wish Bud would allow himself to be bathed. This guy has such odd and dirty hair for a cat. It seems these three ferals never had the time to clean themselves, staying alive took precedence, and bathing just isn't something they do. He and his girl heard about the Olympics and are practicing synchronized sleeping.
Have a great week's end. One more closer to spring.
Thanks for visiting.

Oh my goodness!! I love your first finish Marly. It is so sweet. So are the cats.❤️
I like the colors you are using this time around, Marly. Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Don't you just hate finding a mistake? i just completing The Scarlett House " Samplers" when I was finishing border ( I do last) discovered I had miscounted between stitches and was off...they never matched up. Ribbit........ I plan on making a penny rug during Olympics from a kit on Etsy. A bit of stitching anyway, but study up on blanket stitch!
I will be so glad to see spring this year. Can't wait for this messy problematic winter to be gone. I like your changes to the sampler. But I must admit, I LOVE your furbabies. I have a few of my own. ♥ Cathryn

Hi Julie, first time here, enjoyed your blog. Wonderful sampler. You can bathe your cat with dry shampoo, works like a charm.
I bet your kitties will win the GOLD for synchronized sleeping! love it!
Hi Marly,
It is a small and sweet sampler. Looking great and love the darker earthy colors. Your kitties are so lucky to have you care for them. They are precious.
We might get some rain next Tuesday and Wednesday. I would prefer snow. So far we are in a drought again!
Have a wonderful weekend, Barb
Hi Marley: I am one of them old ladies, giggles, I sometimes get so mad at myself when I do not rip out my mistakes.
Your Sampler is lovely, the colors are so pretty.
Love the cat photo.
Happy Valentines Day
Catherine
I do like your new color choices! Sometimes frogging is the only answer!
I'm glad it was an easyish fix -- I love both versions. I think all cats are gold medalists when it comes to sleeping. : )
Love your colors! All five of my cats are on the synchronized sleeping team and the dog is their coach!
Synchronized sleeping!! LOL That is great - and a very cute picture.
