Changed the pink to blue, used Belfast Flax. I tried the other linen colors but didn't have the patience to change all thread colors to those that would be appropriate. I am meeting with an old friend that I lost touch with when I became Mom's caregiver. She co-owned the only needlework shop we had here decades ago. These birds along with a velvet berry would be a nice gift and I decided to use the lighter linen and follow the chart colors (except for the bird).
Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Flax is a good background for a lot of colours - I used to like when I got a piece that was a lighter dye.
Very sweet little bird. I will have to find some charts to stitch birds.
I have decided to stop feeding mine for a while. The seed draws the squirrels and I just had to pay $650.00 to get two of them (squirrels) out of my attic. I'm sick about it.
Used to love to feed them too and I love my birds.
Happy Palm Sunday.

Flax is a great background for your pretty blue colored bird, Marly.

Looks wonderful! Love the blue you're using on the bird.
No friend like an old friend :)

Lovely work and such a thoughtful gift.
I like the blue a lot. You are so good with your color changes.

That looks really great! I am sure your friend will love it! Flax is always a good color for me! I have a piece I just bought, and trying to decide which project will go on it! It's a bigger piece... hint! Hugs!
