Just posted to IG.
Spot is finished with really crappy mini poms, can't remember seller. DMC on 40 count.
I added more stitches to the top branch to make it heavier, left off the crescent moon and stars also the outer border.
He and Spot the Horse can hang together.
He's adorable and I would like to do a calico or orange tabby facing opposite to hang with him. Should not be too difficult.
Not ready to explain the rescue situation yet. That is difficult.
I have chosen five small projects and plan to kit them this afternoon. Rather than delay a new start while deciding on one, it seems a good time to start them all. Spot said to stop pussyfooting around.
Enjoy your weekend!

He turned out so cute. Love your finish
Your updates always bring a smile to my face! Spot looks adorable, even with the changes you made. The idea of pairing him with Spot the Horse is lovely, and an opposite-facing calico or orange tabby sounds perfect. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficult rescue situation. Take your time; we're here to support you whenever you're ready to share more about it.
Starting five small projects sounds like a great idea – Spot is right, no more pussyfooting around! Enjoy your stitching and have a wonderful weekend!
By the way, I just posted a new blog entry on how to style jeans and a tank top for date night. I’d love for you to check it out: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2024/07/how-to-style-jeans-and-tank-top-for-date-night.html
Oh how very adorable!
Great advice from Spot! He is too stinkin’ cute. I am always gobsmacked that you finish the cross stitch part and fully finish it immediately.
Rugs and Pugs
They are both adorable together. I like your finish for both too. I need to finish one of my smalls tomorrow. Janice
What a cute finish. So much personality.
I've only once been lucky enough to see an actual spotted-- little round circles of color-- cat, opposite of yours. He was white, with black spots like a dalmatian. Cat genes are a complicated and fascinating subject; my daughter studies it as a vet tech. I should ask her about polka-dots!
Pom poms look great! Love it! Jen
Gah! I'm absolutely smitten! I've always been a sucker for polka dots...but put them on critters and I'm a goner. Your finish - and pairing with Spotted Horse - are both "spot-on." ~Robin~ (PS...Listen to Spot...he looks like a wise cat...)
Your Spot is looking great and a nice pair with the horse!
Love both finishes and another Spot will look great.
Sorry to hear you have trouble with the updating of the rescue-- please take your time...
Take care,Truus from Holland
Spot the Cat looks fantastic, Marly. What a wonderful finish!
LOVE both the cat and the horse. They look like best buddies already.
Purrrrrr-fect! I love polka dots!
Spot looks Good! He's sweet hanging out with the horse, and I agree that a gold version would be awesome.
He looks adorable! I love your finish and it looks great with spot the horse. I might just have to do this one! I wanted to thank you again for the pattern I won. I just got back from a long vacation and was so happy to see your package. Have a wonderful weekend.
hi Marly: Spot is a lovely finish, he looks good with the horse, I do hope you do a calico one, I bet it will be adorable.

What a great finish Marly!!
Oh, I love Spot!! What a sweet finish.
Your Spot finish is spot on, I'd say, Marly! Love the two of them together!
