Hello and welcome all! Today is a fabulous day in the 60's but menomoods could care less. On my way to the store this morning, I turned on the radio and heard that happy Polka music. Made me cry. What???? It's a polka....are you nuts? I went from weeks of a good mood (very rare), to the overwhelming sadness of Sandy Hook, to emotional fuzzy feeling, to downright snarky, and now a crybaby.
I completed Susannah (after changing the border color) and haven't picked another project yet. I started working on the February pear and tried incorporating a heart for Valentine's Day. Not happy with any of them.
But here's Sue finished, and also what I did with her and Sophia afterward. Sophia is on a journal and since I love Sue's box size, I ordered again and may get around to making a few more.
And now that hunting season is officially over, the girls were back to bread and corn with a full head count. They all made it!
Still need to catch up on blog reading and Pinterest. What the heck do I do with my time? Why am I always busy but accomplishing nothing? My girlfriend makes a daily list of tasks and doesn't deviate from it. Since I need one for everything else, I think it's a no-brainer to start that routine myself. I'll let you know how it works, how many times I misplace it, and how many times I set it on fire.
Have a great week!
Thank you for taking the time to visit.
Stay safe - get a flu shot.

Someone was anxious for their pizza? Yikes! As for the list, nah--I might accomplish more, but I don't want my life to feel like a forced march. I keep a pretty rigid list at work, which is fine since I can't afford to forget stuff there, but in my personal life, a little scattiness is a pleasant thing.
Boxy Sue is lovely!
Maybe you should have been singing, "Oh Susannah don't you cry for me" while stitching. I will occasionally get those mood swings too.
You know I am a big fan of your boxes (I think I own 5 of them) and I am in awe of how talented you are in finishing your pieces in other ways aside from framing.
What a fool...bumping in to you guys like that! I hope you feel back to normal again soon and it doesn't cause any long term problems.
Love the girls. Beautiful.
I have a list on my counter right now...I have completed one thing so far. :o(
I vote for setting it on fire!
How crazy getting hit waiting for pizza, nuts but hope you are o.k. so happy the girls made it threw hunting yuk, season, yey.....Blessings Francine.
Let me know how the list works. I also make a list, my husband says I have enough items on the list for a small army and MS's staff
Love Susannah. She is really appealing! That's amazing about being rear ended in a drive through. Hello - what was wrong with that guy? So weird! Hope you are ok and there are no ill effects. Good luck with the list making. I post reminders to myself all the time.
Susannah looks lovely. I hope you won't suffer any long lasting damage due to being rear ended. What's up with the jerk that hit you?
I make lists and then misplace the lists... I hope you're better at list making/keeping than me.
Hi Marly...sorry to hear you were rear ended...I am famous for getting hit when not moving...while parked in front of our apartment and inside sleeping, parked at the post office, parked at Penn State downtown Sharon, and stopped in front of Subway! I know pizza is not good for you, but I don't think thats what they meant! Hope you don't get any aftereffects.----Jan
Hi Marly- I hope you are feeling better after that drive thru bump, very scary. Susannah is very pretty. I joined a Halloween ornie SAL- figured it would keep me stitching one way or the other! Hope you have a great, not so weepy, week! Got my flu shot- hope it works! ~Nicole~
I love your work - :)
Your finish is great! I sure hope you are all right. We almost got hit twice today in a parking lot!!! Must be in the air!
Hope that you are ok after being rear ended. What a goose. Glad that your car is ok.
I love the ideas that you come up with. Your boxes look wonderful and l love Susannah.
No good me making a list. I'd forget it lol.
i love it too x
so sorry to hear about the little accident - hope you're well!
Now come on - what happened to dilly dallying, whims and fancies, blowing with the wind? Marly, please stop beating yourself up, it's your party, you can cry if you want to! Relax, stop feeling guilty and enjoy the moment. Irene xxx
Hope that you feel well the second and third days after the rear ending... that's when then whiplash comes! As for the moods... really, write me...you could benefit! Hugs!
Susannah is great. I am sorry you guys got rear ended, geesh!
I am a bit of a crybaby my whole life long Marly!!!
It's amazing that everyone does everything but pay attention when they are behind the wheel of a car... i hope you heal completely from that.
Love the picture in your blog header! The one on the far left top and far right top are gorgeous! Well.. they ALL are, but those two I would probably want to stitch myself.
o... and without lists, i would get nothing done. I especially need a list when going to a store... cuz as soon as I walk through the door and see stuff, my mind goes blank... lol
Thankfully the rear ending at the drive through did not result in worse consequences than it did! Take care, my friend. I understand completely about the menomoods. I have rarely heard a polka since I was growing up in PA, & since then when I do I usually tear up. Love your girlfriend's dedication to her lists. I've tried making lists but my life seems to be governed by my moods. If I don't want to do it that day, it ain't gonna get done. Something will get done ... just not what's on the list.
Morning Marly! Hope you've recovered from the little car accident. Half my mystery solved. The 'Mary Carpenter' is at my daughter-in-law's house. NOW where is 'Fanny Motts'?? In your blog header picture what is the top left pillow? Just love it and want to stitch it. Notforgotten Farm? Have a blessed day! MJ
Marly, Gorgeous header!!!!! Have you listed each designer and I missed it? Could you? Thanks and good luck with the menomoods. ;)

Susannah is beautiful!! Love it! I hope you're okay after the accident without any lingering side effects. Geez louise--getting rear ended in the drive through! Phew. I can relate to the 'what the heck do I do with my time?!' feeling. I have decided to spend less time on the computer, which is soooo hard, because it's my only sort of social interaction. But--time to get stuff done and engage in life and get my head out of the laptop. Or, at least try. ;)
Oh my gosh--I can't believe someone ran into you in a drive-through!! Glad it was just minor on your part, Marly--your spine thing sounds very, very scary...
I'm finding myself wasting more and more time as I head toward 60...mind wanders, I wander, just can't seem to accomplish all I'd like to in any given day. Luckily, I still manage to sit and stitch for a couple hours now and then :)
Your Susannah is so pretty on your box--such a great display!
Wow. Can't believe you got hit in a drive thru?!?!!? I sure hope you are okay my dear. Like you need more pain in your life :(
Polka music is awesome but I'm not sure why it made you teary. Usually I want to get up and do the polka when I hear it. Love Susannah!! As for Pinterest, I have so little time to blog/comment that if I went on there, I wouldn't be commenting here! Love the deer shots!!
Hello, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get a lot of spam remarks?
If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything you can suggest?
I get so much lately it's driving me insane so any assistance is very much appreciated.
