Hello all. Thank you for the well wishes for my sister - she came through just fine. I spent the entire day there because they want to check your rhythm for hours after the procedure. I took the current project with me and couldn't believe the color difference under the CF bulbs. My pinks were dirty purple! The overhead fluorescent didn't affect them but the compacts in the waiting rooms did. I stitched for a while but continued to make errors because I wasn't paying close enough attention to instructions. Or the chart. First, I followed the in progress stitch photo, but saw on the chart later that the repeat border has an area that is one stitch less. First error.
The diving bands of the square stitch - wrong. I should not have done them in regular cross.
Then I read that the two eyelet dividing bands are to be the same color. I didn't look far enough ahead and thought that the band between the eyelet rows was the first and the second was beneath. Well. I have three eyelet rows and I don't know if the first was to be the same pink.
Am I the only one that speed reads charts? Instead, I should be studying them and taking notes on my neon note pad. I used to. But it seems I am always in a hurry or impatient, and one of these days I will miss something that throws off the entire sampler. I don't have a problem with current errors because they won't affect the outcome, but I need to stop this practice. There is nothing wrong with making changes, but I want them to be a choice I am aware of.
We had the air conditioner on, torrential rains, horrific lightning, hail, and today the furnace is back on. Out came the sweat pants that were packed away.
I received my new little sampler and I just love it. Will probably be the next project.
Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for visiting.
p.s. Why has everyone that comments turned into no-reply? Is Blogger doing something? I tried to reply to many that I have before, but they are all now no-reply!!!

Well, errors or not, your BBD looks awesome! I have just gotten started and noticed that difference in the border pattern and said ooooh, isn't that just tricky. We will all have our own unique sampler. :)
It's lovely inspite of the errors, which one would only know about IF the pattern was framed next to it! I always enjoy your stitching and your blog! Thanks!

So good to hear your sister's procedure went well, Marly. I am really bad at looking over a chart ahead of time... Honestly, it's rare that I don't find a small error of some sort on charts these days. Kind of frustrating! But your sampler is looking great!
That's so weird about the no-reply thing! I haven't had that problem on my blog so far. I've been noticing a big difference in color on my stitching depending on which light I'm using. It really is amazing. Your BBD piece looks great though. Glad to hear your sister came through a-ok!
It's wonderful that your sister did well during and after the procedure.. So glad !
I'm terrible about keeping my mind on what I'm doing whether it's typing, stitching or in high school, doing shorthand.. Would make mistakes all the time.. I seem to not be able to keep my mind from wandering.
The only time I don't have any trouble with that is when I'm working in my garden.. I guess that's where I'd better stay.
Have a lovely weekend. I hope we've had all of the rain we're going to get for a while.

Glad to her your sister is doing well. I love the sampler you are working on. Great colors. Isn't it weird to see what the surroundings can do to color?
So glad to hear that your sister's cardioversion was successful Marly. Love how your sampler is progressing and I have to follow patterns stitch by stitch since I don't have a clue what I'm doing LOL! The weather has turned here too, lovely and warm for nearly a week and now raining and cool. I haven't noticed the 'No-reply' problem but it wouldn't surprise me if Blogger was mucking about again!
Glad to hear your sisters procedure went well. I like your style of free flow stitching I am too anal and have to follow a pattern exactly which makes for stress. I am enjoying following your stitching progress it's going to be a few more weeks before I can jump on this bandwagon boo hoo.
Glad to her your sister is doing well. I love the sampler you are working on.lovely Colours x
Your sampler is beautiful and unique! They are personalisation so not mistakes.
The no reply thing is because when people move across to Google Plus they have to change their settings so their email still shows. The default is for privacy. Google are trying to force people over to Google Plus, I think because they can gather more information there and use it to sell advertising.
I'm so glad your sister is doing well, and your sampler looks terrific. I read the last comment by Jo, and I checked Email follow-up comments, I don't know if that was what I was supposed to do or not, I just recently discovered that I could comment on Blogger but the identity is set up on Google, and I'm not sure about the settings??? hmmm will have to investigate a little further. Bloglovin will not let me comment at all. Have a terrific week-end!
I am so glad your sister is doing well.♥
So glad your sister is doing well. I never read my charts before I stitch...and just stitch as directed....and guess what no one ever notices. I cross stitch for fun...long ago left school reading before stitching seems like studying. have a good weekend.
I'm glad things went well for your sister. I'm guilty of not carefully looking over a chart before starting as well. But, despite that your sampler is looking good!
so glad your sister is doing well
Love your stitching
You are making great progress and your sampler is looking lovely error or not.
I'd like to stitch this design but fear the SAL will be well and truly over before I even get started on it.

The one thing I always try to do when designing a border is to make sure the repeats remain the same throughout. I would never have caught that change if I was stitching that chart. The sampler looks good none the less.
Heck, to someone who is NOT stitching the sampler, we see nothing out of place! It looks great! Glad your sister did well! Yay! As for blog stuff bouncing around... or not working. There has been a change implemented by all the big free email giants: Yahoo, Gmail, AOL and Hotmail. I am investigating it and so far haven't found a work around. Basically, for me, they are rejecting comments I send to bloggers that want email notification of a comment. The comments go on the blog, they just don't get the emails. Has to do with spammers and a global change to thwart them. Sigh...
