Having a little relapse tonight but will start going through charts before bedtime.  I think Eliza has linen and threads at the ready so starting her would be the easiest.  But where is she?  I can put it aside if I change my mind and really do not feel like going through all the linen colors, especially trying to find the right cut.  I still hate cutting into a large piece and will search until I find one that is close, even if I'd prefer the color of the larger piece.  I am so weird.  But I make everyone else feel normal.  Nothing boosts the spirit like knowing there is someone more peculiar than you.

Knots - stitching & stomach

Good morning.  I'm in the middle of a dark and windy rainstorm, trying to catch up on blogs.  The cats came in to eat like they were shot out of a cannon.  Well they're finished, and I can't get them back out. Under the hutch, the chair, anywhere to hide.  Now I'm stuck at home until they're out.  I just came from Carol's Stitching Dreams blog and she mentioned colonial knots with a link to an instructional video.  You can't beat Mary Corbet's Needle 'n Thread for detailed videos on almost any stitch.  I couldn't remember the difference between Colonial and French knots and wondered which of those are my method.  French.  I've never had a problem but will give the Colonial a try.  Mary's photos of her work using both methods makes me want to knot all day.  Love the look.

Oh boy.  I just heard the rush seat chair fall.  The boys are roughhousing again.  When I visited Agway for squirrel corn yesterday, the handsome orange tabby with the wide face, so calm and sweet, was still living in the small cage.  No one has adopted any of the adults for a long time.  This tabby is such a handsome well mannered gentlemen.  I spend as much time as I can trying to stroke them through the cages.

 

If you're sick of reading about the damn cabinets, go away now.

As for the cupboards, they are well constructed, but there are a few problems.  I helped him carry them in and immediately saw the leg (bracket - whatever) problem.  He rabbeted in another piece of 7/8" thick wood - I don't know why.  He's never seen this style and I guess he didn't look closely at the drawings.  I can't even add vertical 3/4" slats to fill that area because his wood is thick and it should certainly not be down to the leg bottom.  So we will try to carefully cut it off, but I seriously doubt it will end up straight and smooth.  I am not having him transport these large pieces in his open bed truck again with three days of rain scheduled.  If we fail, we will cut the legs off. 

The drawing specifically stated a fixed shelf in the middle of the two smaller cabinets on the end.  There is none. The center stile on which the 18" doors close, is missing on both pieces.  My heart really sank when I saw this.  He said the doors are butt doors.  NO THEY ARE NOT!!!!  There is no center overlay on any of them and the center stile is on the drawing.  I got out the tape and measured, realized the opening was too large for the doors and he had forgot to install the stile.  Whew.  They can be added.  Now for the final disappointment. 

 His method is to recess the back in 3/8" instead of flush, and adding this 3/4" blocking to the bottom shelf in addition to the thickness of the plywood back = my dishes don't fit.  I can use a higher shelf but I've always stored them on the bottom.  Even then, they just fit because my doors are partially inset.  So. I'm not as upset as I should be because I've been disgusted for so long.  Having to reach up to get my dishes is the thing that bothers me most.   The heaviest and largest items should be on the fixed bottom shelf, not above.  Whatever.  I'm done.  The next time you see them they will be painted and on the wall, and the kitchen changes will end there.  I can't do this any longer.

Well...duh!

Greetings.  Didn't tell you when the drawing will be did I?  Since I am feeling better today and half of my mind is back, how about Wednesday at 8 pm EST?  I guess there are some readers who can't leave a comment, so just click the email button at the top right and I will add you.

Many have stated that they are concerned about finishing the pears.  Try the pattern on fabric scraps first.  My older post Finishing a pear plus the template shows my method, which may not be the best, but it worked for me.  Here's the template again, and it's also at the bottom of the Pears page.

You would think that scanning something this simple would be a sharp image, but not on this HP.  Open this in Windows Live Photo Gallery and choose full page to print.  You can sew in further at the top and outward on the hips to exaggerate or create the shape you want.  Enlarge on a copier if needed.  I think the biggest help is the fusible interfacing which holds the shape very well, clipping the seams, and definitely pressing the seams open before clipping.  The bottom bends gets bunched when turned and I use a very wide V to trim excess here, fabric glue to close.

Right now, I am waiting for Dominic to deliver the two large cabinets that we can't fit in the SUV.  I have a jar of my hot pepper butter and some chocolate for him.  So grateful he came through for us in short order.  The pepper butter is hot, and dark chocolate calms the burn.  Wait - he's here.

I'm back.  The cabinets aren't right.  He pulled out my DETAILED drawing, and saw that he was wrong.  Whatever it is, it is. Mark and I will try to add the missing center stiles, but nothing we can do about the legs.  I opened the tightly wrapped doors from the cabinet company and see one miter that is open, another is half open, two rails are cracked.  Life is good - get over it.

The boxes were painted and ready for labels. Remember the first HP laptop crash and having to start over with labels on another HP?  My newest one is a Dell after the second HP crash, and adjustments in color need to made again, but minor compared to the last time. 

The printer is also HP (Photosmart series), less than a year old, and uses more ink than you can imagine, even on normal settings.  But some times, it likes to throw out more red, then stop the red for a few lines, and then start over.  Like this.  Why haven't I had it replaced under warranty?  Because they will only replace it with another HP and this being my third, I want nothing to do with their products.  Why haven't I bought a different brand yet?  Individual ink colors!  I run out of yellow but have $80 of other ink still usable.  Needless to say, I am so frustrated (and out of red ink again) that I don't know when or if the labels will be done.  I spent two entire days printing over and over and trying to adjust colors.  I think this will be the last offer for boxes.  For the amount of time I put into them, it costs much more than I charge. 

 I have so many blank 3 box sets, large and small, and don't know if I want to bother doing Ebay to sell them, or if a good fire is in order.  Sometimes I would rather incur the loss and have it over with immediately.  No waiting for a buyer, no buying packing boxes, stuffing, labels, just get it done. Which is exactly the attitude I'm taking for a new printer.  Just forget about the ink costs.  Wait - the Animal Welfare thrift store!  Perfect.  I'm sure they will take the boxes. My two little square favorites are the only ones ready.  I'll let you know when and if there will be a sale.

The bug that I thought was invading is not a bug.  There is something wrong and it's robbing me of sleep and food, so I am crabbier than normal.  I know which tests the doctor will order and that thought puts me up to Queen Crab status, and the current exalted ruler of Bitchdom.

I was in Ohio at a doc office this week and saw an Animal Welfare League thrift store.  Damn.  I just got rid of all those good sweaters and bowls and stitchery!  Next time, my items will be going there.

What's next?

Hiya.  How's the week going?  Mine has been unproductive so far.  I have so many tasks to do, and starting another before the prior is finished, is creating total confusion.  And nothing is done.  Much time was wasted looking for the yogurt I just started eating and set down somewhere.  I didn't want to wait until the odor led me to it, so I took the time to search.  Good thing I realized it was missing.

I'm not anxious to go through the charts and linen rolls to choose the next project.  I can't decide if I should use the Swiffer or Reveal mop, so how can I pick a project?  This afternoon I will make a hole in the clutter on the table, and paint some boxes if I can find my brushes.  I was using them to test wall paint samples and now....????  I'm sure when I start searching, something else will catch my eye, I will become distracted, and either change my mind about painting or forget what I was looking for.  The tall 4" oval was discontinued so I bought them all and have loads.  Some will be covered with fabric, some papered, some labeled.  I can be thinking about the next project while I'm working.  Eliza Pomeroy and Ann Wragg at still topping the list.

Cabinets will be coming next week and I need to decide on latex or oil based paint.  We will probably install them before they and the walls are painted because I don't have room to set them somewhere.  They are 36 x 42 and 52 x 42, plus the legs for a total of 54" in height.  Only one wall is being made right now.  He didn't have time for anything else so I took what I could get.  Saw these on Pinterest and loved the simplicity and clean lines.

 

 

I still like primitive, but am leaning more toward a very sparse look in every room.  I usually start simplifying in the spring and adding more and more as the year goes on.  Too much to take care of and dust.  I'm not 60 anymore.  When the cabinets arrive, I'll probably celebrate with a little giveaway. Yes, again.  Boring isn't it?  This time, it may be a pear.  That's little!!  I like them, but I don't need 12 (well...11 - I threw out the shamrock).  Well...10 - never did like that first one on Jobelan either!  Which was your favorite?  

OK.  Off the computer and on to hunting for brushes.

Easter candy or lack thereof

Where is it?  What are these gifts?  Hats for the baby, puzzles for 5 the year old, jewelry for the 75 year old (sister), spices for the 70 year old (brother), money for the 20 somethings, golf bag for the 43 year old.  Where's the chocolate?  I'm not sure if color or chocolate is my nemesis, but they can both bring me down.  If I walked in to my two local chocolatiers (Philadelphia and Daffins), I would be in a glucose coma by the time I arrived home.  It's that bad.  I feel like an addict and need to stop.  There is no way Easter candy would have made it to the intended recipients.  I've tried hiding chocolate in the basement corner where spiders lurk, the freezer, the garage, attic way, my husband's car, thinking I can just take two a day from these inconvenient spots.  No.  I have to stop buying it completely and go through the withdrawal.

In the years before Mom came here, my spring cleaning would have been over by Easter.  What happened?  My entire life changed and even after she passed, I never got back into my prior routines.  When I heard that sis's friend is having a large sale at her church, I thought it would be a good time to start ridding.   A set of three spongeware patterned bowls, stuffed angels, new sweaters, pip berry garlands, stitched Santa pillows, and more to come.   These two patriotic sweaters were never worn and my husband is not a sweater guy, but he bought them because of the theme.

And speaking of Liberty, she is finished and I'll show her tomorrow.  Guess what I'm doing tomorrow morning?  Meeting with Dominic.  His stepdaughter ripped out her entire kitchen even though he told her to wait until he was done with orders, which meant that she got her way and he had to drop everything to do it now.  Good.  I have a little change.  I should not have gone back to Phoebe Troyer's pins of her current home, but her style is exactly what I love.  Simplistic.  Stark with warmth.  Lighter paint colors.  It looks easy, but it takes a special talent to decorate like this.  I try to stay away from too many ideas/photos on that damn site, but I've been following her for some time. 

Geez.  Lots of yakking about nothing on Easter morning when I have a dinner to prepare.  Most will be done here with finishing at my sister's since my house is a mess.  It's going to be a warm and perfect day.  I hope yours is also.

The top twenty

Greetings.  The grass gave up and is covered.  The birds are shivering.  The cats are back inside.  They say it won't last long because it will climb to 40 degrees today.  Oh boy.  Get out the sandals.

Melissa at Words and Blooms asked - if you have 20 years to stitch one big sampler a year, what would they be?   That's a tough question. I would like to list samplers that I want on my wall, but someone else stitched.  I know that many of my wants are projects I would never tackle for whatever reason.  Lack of patience for a BAP, lots of over one stitching, beautiful borders requiring color changes every few stitches, to mention a few.  Is my aging a factor and would I have stitched more intricate samplers years ago?  Maybe.  But I'm still drawn to marking samplers because of their simplicity.  That's why I label myself a stitch wimp, and if I attempted some of these questionable projects, I may finish them without incident, but my gut tells me otherwise.  It wouldn't hurt to try, but I will only list samplers that I feel may actually be stitched, not just wishful thinking.

Could you choose a favorite from your completed samplers?  Even tougher!  Look at the samplers from Margaret, Glenna, Carol Sims, and bloggers that continue to work on the bigger and fancier girls.  Each one a treasure.  Hannah Breed is at the top of my list, but what about Lydia, Fanny, Mary, Safrona, Mary, Eunice, Mary, Thankful, Eliza, Margaret...the list goes on.  I love them all.

Isn't Liberty sweet?  Time to start thinking about who will be next.

Thanks for the kitchen comments.  When I saw that Penny has Smith's work in her home I had to stop myself from turning green.  He's in Ohio, I'm in PA and I'm sure I could have contacted him.  I've been visiting his site from the very beginning. The problem - we're retiring and I can't see justifying the cost of an entire new kitchen when we need to replace the cedar siding and windows. We're adding additional cabinets and details to what we have, which are solid wood and well built, new appliances, counter, sink and faucet. 

Still lots of decisions to make throughout the house and I have to wonder.  If I ever had the chance to build another home, would I be able to decide on a design?  Yes!  Starting with a clean slate is so much easier.  

I wonder how many items I will misplace today because the sampler bucket list will be distracting me.  Hopefully, no more than four.

My buds are frosted

Stop snowing!!!!  Those aren't flowers on that crab tree, it's white crap.  All the trees and plants are coated but the greening grass refuses.  After being covered under a heavy blanket for so long, it is not allowing this stuff to smother any longer!! 

Dominic wasn't grasping the details or the design -so more days of relentless graphing and cardboard cabinets and templates of various sizes and foam board cutouts, ended with basics.  I give up. Working with existing sizes and a guy that doesn't deviate from standard wasn't easy. Tomorrow, only three cabinets will be built.  Good enough for now.  I drew the specs for the third cabinet while in the car outside the bakery.  Done. 

Five cabinet makers, and not one answered yes to my question .. "are you familiar with David T. Smith, Kevin Ritter, or Sunderland?" 

Liberty is almost completed and I hope to relax and catch up with the world this evening.  Right now I need to clear the kitchen of the mess and put a heat pack on my neck.  Tomorrow I will give in and buy bigger panties.  Hopefully there won't be a bakery close by.

Hingeing on more decisions

Happy weekend to you.  Ours will be warm and sunny, hopefully drying some of the mud from the rain which is packed into little paws of a princess that doesn't bathe very often.  As you can see, I'm still getting attitude.  Today I have to make a decision on hinges.  The ones originally chosen many moons ago, are discontinued.  Of course they are.  So I found three options, two of which show just the barrel and the other is the iron H.  Might be nice for a change since the cabinets are painted.  Currently they are barrel only and painted the same as the wood so not noticeable at all.  I can always paint over the hinge as I did in the dining room. 

The kitchen's doors are 3/8" offset but Acorn makes the usually flush H for those also.  The only thing for sure is they will be black as will the counter top.  Barrel or H?  I'm leaning towards H but may fall over and bump my head causing a change to barrel. 

Coming back from another trip to the county courthouse (which is so beautiful) we stopped at the antique shop in Volant and I bought this tall cheese box.  Not extremely old but I don't care.  I like old wood and had an extra $20 in my pocket.

 

 

 I just love my gourd bowl/spoon and vase from Fanatic's Country Attic.  No wonder I couldn't find the beans for the French Market soup.  You know how we walk around with something in our hand, get distracted, set it down, and then can't find it?  Yesterday I went into my craft closet and there it was.  The coffee cup that had been missing for quite some time, along with some dried up green stuff inside. 

And here's Liberty.  I have to say that for all the dips - both dye and bleach - that the DMC endured, you really can't see much difference in the new stitching compared to the abused.  The 221 is slightly darker so I dipped that skein, only because of it being the border.

This weekend is also decision time for the slide in range, hammered copper sink, and new faucet.  Am I making a mistake going with copper?  I would like to have a quartz counter top with an undermount sink in the same material and color but so far have been told NO.  I've found that some salesclerks don't look further than the store shelves.  Absolute black granite is second choice, but all the suppliers are telling me that honing it to take off the shine is a mistake and they don't like to do it, costing quite a bit more. Does anyone anywhere give the customer what they want?  And the range quandary - stick with Jenn Air downdraft or install a cabinet depth slide out ventless hood?  Jenn Air has such bad reviews and I need to consider that.

Sorry I dump all my boring stuff on you but that damn cat ignores me.  No help at all.

That's better

My name is Marlene and I am a colorholic.

But I wanted to start over on 30 count anyway, so if it didn't work, no big loss.  Floss doesn't grab as quickly as the linen and except for the border, I'm not concerned about a slight difference.  Well.  I just dipped a WIP 9 times in various blends and in Clorox twice.  I guess you could say I'm not concerned, period!  With all the work I have here, I am spastic enough to work on this instead.    BUT!!  I made a decision on the trim color - I'm sticking with the Studio Taupe that is in the first room.

 I found this on Pinterest and love the color.  This is putty!  But I can't do this any longer and have exhausted every paint manufacturer.  All my sample jars will be thrown into a gallon can and shaken.  It may end up being the perfect shade for the bathroom.  Dominic called and my cabinets will be started next week.  They will not be what I want but again, I can't wait any longer.  My search for a true cabinet maker that is willing to go a tiny bit outside the box is over.  There is no one left to call.  Think how bad it will be 10 years from now.

Right now I need to get the dyes put away and clean up my mess.  Mark will be home from golfing soon, walk in, and see that nothing has been moved.  I'll just quietly grind my teeth and he won't dare ask anything.

Liberty

The sun is shining and it's warming - I hope your day is just as bright.

 

I started Liberty with errors right from the start.  The chart is very crisp and bold so I didn't bother to look closely.  The first symbol in the alpha is not what I thought it was.  Remove the browns for the correct blues?  Then I realized that the same symbol is used twice with one being in bold type.  Change that color too?  I had the cross that is between the two single rows of the border off one.  Already corrected that.  I chose 35 count and I wish I would have used 30.  

 

I did because my little Kessel and Simpson samplers on 35 count, are the same in size and I wanted to add Liberty to the group and hang all three together.  Did I check the linen color first?  Of course not.  Does this bother me?  Of course it does.  The linen color is very nice, but not with the greenish cast of the others.  I doubt I will group them now.  I don't mind different shades of linen together, but this green makes the other look pink.

 I've told you many times that I am a color cuckoo.  In fact, since I decided to paint the walls beneath the chair rail, I haven't been able to find that just-perfect-for-psychotic-painters-shade.  It's putty-without the green -not so dull it's gray -not so taupe it's pink -not so warm it's gold -not so light it's beige -not a color on the face of this earth, putty.  I have been stuck in limbo for so long it's really starting to get me down.  The cabinet maker - no return calls.  I know he will do them.  He will.  He works from his home workshop and is very nice. 

Anyway, I have three large drawers filled with rolled linen of all sizes and don't want to look for the greenish 35 count, not even sure there is any left, and I hate that chore.  I wish everything was already planned and ready.  Do I purchase kits?  No.  Why?  Because I want to pick my own linen color and count.  There is definitely something wrong with me.  Ya think?  

My day started off good until I drove past the veterinarian's and saw an elderly gentleman crying as the doctor tended to a dog lying in the cargo area of his SUV.  So I started.  When I got to the lab for my bloodwork, there was a baby crying so hard and mom just couldn't care less.  Now the emotions are really taking over.  Inside the lab, waiting my turn, is a feeble man in his 90's, alone and very sad.  Breaks your heart!  After the prick tech guy finally pricked the right spot, I settled down.  Stopped at JoAnn's for DMC 3747 only to find the store was completely, and I mean completely, different.  I couldn't find anything.  I walked around in a stupor.  I'm old.  I don't like change even if it's for the better.  Stopped for coffee and came home.  The End.

Except for a nagging thought.  When I looked up the post on Kessel to snag the photo, there it was.  The recipe for the peaches and cream dessert.  After a weak and sobbing morning, do I have the strength to not make it?

Stitch wimp strikes again

Hello hello hello!  How did your weekend go?  Anyone still seeing the white stuff?  Today was sunny and wonderful, hopefully a preview of coming days.

I'm wimping out again and decided on another small and simple marking sampler.  Either of these.  One is under 7"x7" and the other is 6"x8" on 28 count.  Perfect.  Eliza and Ann Wragg are still on my mind and will be coming up soon.

 

 

 

 

 

I have this old PS design, The Fox and the Grapes from 1986 done on 14 Aida.  I want to stitch it on linen and instead of spending $4.50 on Ebay for the card, I will stitch from this piece.  They don't call me a bonehead for no reason.  But the symbols on those small cards are sometimes very hard to see and the stitchery isn't.  All those years ago, I discarded my charts (including the Scarlet Letter's) after completing so I doubt if I still have it.  This is easier to see anyway.

I also have a gripe to air. Most of my old charts are leaflets in plastic bags.  It irritates me when I have to remove the chart from the bag to search for the stitch count, and tightens my britches even more when there is NO stitch count.  I want to see the count on the front or back, not inside, so when I'm browsing I can compare sizes and what linen pieces would be usable.  Instead, I have a mess and most times need to count and estimate finished size.  Am I nit-picking?  Be honest.  I can take it.  Tomorrow, I am going through all these samplers and adding a note with this information so I no longer have to put up with these tight panties.  They've gotten tight enough on their own and I REFUSE to purchase a larger size.  I don't care if they cut off my circulation and make new varicose veins, I am not getting a bigger size.  As long as I'm complaining, I might as well throw in the floss.  I love GAST and other variegated threads, but since the beginning I have been using DMC skeins and pulled out what I needed.  So easy.  I do not like having to untie and re-tie, or wrap and unwrap, but I've decided they are too nice to forego because of that.  I am old and set in my ways, but I guess I will move them all to floss cards and get over it.

I feel very drafty today.  My hair used to be coarse, thick, and wild ~ now it is soft, fine and limp.  Damn hormones. Or lack thereof. I thought if I cut a little off the heavy back, it would take off some weight and lift it.  I grabbed the entire mid section of the back and held it between two fingers.  Unfortunately, I cut on the wrong side of my fingers.  There's a hole now.  At least the Walmart cut is now blended.

No word from the latest cabinet maker. Again. I was as accommodating as I could be, told him to use the wood of HIS choice, on HIS time....I was nice dammit!!!  When I asked for a feature and he stalled, I said forget it - no problem.  It killed me, but I was nice.  I'll give him until Tuesday to call me.  I know where he lives.

Geez.  Lots of complaining for a wimp, no?

Happy Saturday.  Another weekend closer to summer.  Hope it's a good one for you.

 

I'll be stuck in my usual position, graph paper in hand, making no progress on unfinished house projects.  I've mentioned many times that Glenna's statement could not be more fitting .... indecision=paralysis.

 

 

I did sew Frances and Lydia in my usual finishing method.  The hanger, be it leather lace or hemp, will be attached later.  Except for ornaments, I don't like to sew the hanger in the seam since I am always moving and changing. 

 

 

 

 

 

   

I can add the hanger if I find the perfect cupboard for it, or unpin it and throw it in a bowl.  Hannah will be sideways as a reminder that we all have those days.

I was very surprised to find that Hannah only needed a few patches. For being 25 count and using black floss, I expected to see many carried threads. The letters are so close, it wasn't noticeable. This linen is so stiff it was very easy to square the piece before fusing the lightweight interfacing.  I really like Hannah against those two chosen fabrics and considered a sewing pouch, but I use my see through folders in a file for projects.  I love the bags, she's the perfect size, fabulous with the fabric, but I still resist.  Putz.

Another golf bag arrived. I used the plastic bag protecting it to encase the cardboard box and the brats have a fun tunnel.  They are protected from the wind and rain and are having a ball.  Bud and Missy are in there now, probably necking.   Now the process of choosing the next project begins.  Nancy Nurse?  Ann Wragg?  Eliza?  Another small?  More than that confusion is the linen dilemma.  Which color?  What count?   I really dread this process.  Usually something happens that determines the piece without much thought, but not this time.  Too bad.

My brother found a few pieces from Pat's stash that I was offering until I saw the shipping rates.  These are the old style Sudberry cheeseboards and a mirror.  I tried taking a photo of a straight scratch that is on the mirror but you can only see it at a certain angle which I couldn't photograph.  Doesn't matter. When I created a link for you to estimate postage, I saw that it's more than double the $5 price to CA for ONE.  Ridiculous.

So that's about it.  Dull dreary rainy days, but no snow.

Lots of chores today since the week was so busy so I best be moving my behind.

Winner

Hi everyone.  Thank you for the prayers and good wishes, once again, for my siblings.  My brother's results were good!  After hearing the results from the surgeon in the recovery room, I was poking fun at my problem, and he dropped his head and looked over his glasses.  Guess who he wants to schedule.

My sister is not in the hospital and started breathing better today, but this is the third time in four months and I am very concerned about the CHF. 

I was the grateful recipient of a fabulous package filled with the most wonderful fabrics.  Oh my.  I have this problem of hoarding fabric and I can imagine how much worse I would be if I quilted.  My gift was nothing I could purchase locally so I am thrilled.  On a trip to my county courthouse today, I stopped at the (one of two) local fabric shop and grabbed a few fat eighths.  Across the street in an antique store that looks more like a modern gift shop, I found another darning egg, an old wood spool, and a large square galvanized tub for $5.

I haven't started a new sampler and it may be Eliza Pomeroy.  Or not.

Hi all.  Just a quick post to show Hannah completed.  Since my tablet slipped out of the unzipped makeshift case, hit the hardwood floor and slid a few feet, making a pouch for it now using Hannah is moot.  And saying I found a cabinet maker may be also. 

 He is a nice guy, has been at this for years and does very nice work.  But he never heard of a rat-tail hinge, extended sides, or mixing door sizes in one unit.  I showed him this photo.  I don't know if the sides are called hutch, apron, extended, pain in the ass, whatever, he's never done them.  I then come home to hear a message from my sister that she is going to see the doctor because she is out of breath and fluid is once again building in her lungs.  My brother's message was that his doctor is squeezing him into the schedule tomorrow for a necessary scope and I need to take him.  Does the kitchen matter?

Who knows what her final resting pose will be.  She heard from the others that there is no such thing as FINAL in this house, nor rest.  You probably think it's weird to hang the sampler sideways but it's different and my other sack needs someone to hang with.  I think with some feathers and a few gourds, they would make a great primitive display from a peg, or rusty baling hook.  I've decided to move all the samplers to one wall in the new room whenever the chair rail is up and the painting is done.  Ed hasn't returned my calls.
